The world is definitely driven by greed, but not stupid reckless greed. Plenty of people would risk all to become rich, but there aren't too many rich people willing to risk all just to get richer.

Fair enough. For the aspiring Bond villain who wants to do crazy shit like moon bases, a single billion might not cut it and it's worth risking your life to get more. For 99.99999% of the population, the opportunity difference between 1 billion and 5 is insignificant.

Well the people in the film werent rich risking to get richer. They were poor risking to get richer. Even the rich guy was about to be cut off from the fathers wealth and become poor.
Are you saying that 99.99999% of the population has no imagination or would not do any public good with the money if they had them? I wasnt talking about bond villain moon bases. I was talking about things like Funding NASA to build a base there since the government is cearly inept and is not capable of funding anything but weather sattelites.
