I hope so, he should have been at the wedding scene in Indy 4 however same with Salah so I'm guessing they are dead.

"Short Round had a cameo written into Indiana Jones and the Saucermen from Mars, one of the many screenplays for the potential fourth film which became Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Set in 1949, Short Round was to be an usher along with Sallah at the wedding of Indiana Jones and Dr. Elaine McGregor (in this version Marion Ravenwood does appear but as a guest) and drives the newlyweds to the airport at the close of the story."

Wow this is good info thank-you

It'd be kind of cool. Honestly, he should had probably been in Crystal Skull instead of Shia LaBeouf.

Indy: “Shortround, we’re home!”

You're easily entertained. You probably also cheered when Millenium Falcon and Han Solo was shown for the first time in Force Awakens, didn't you?

If this is to be the last film I'd prefer a older and more badass Short Round to appear alongside Mutt and have the two form a rivalry or brotherly bond together with Indy just getting sick and tired of their antics. It'd be a nice way to bring it full circle since Temple of Doom is technically the "First" Indy Storyline wise.

If it was absolutely necessary to bring him back, they should recast the part with another 10-15 year old kid. Place the story in 1940's and forget Ford's real age. Oh yes, and also forget that Indy 4 ever happened.

According to google Ke Huy Quan is a stunt coordinator today I don't thinks he's done much acting as an adult. It makes you feel old knowing he's 49 years old.
