Story was utter trash. The first game's story isn't all that either but it was the characters that made it memorable and amazing. TLOU2 took a giant shit on everything the first game did sadly. Abby is one of the worst characters ever created. Neil tried so hard to make us like what is a essentially a sadistic, hypocrite, psychopath who got all her friends killed just to satisfy her own needs and came up with bullshit execuses to betray her group. Horrible character. And turning Joel and Tommy into dumbasses so they could kill Joel off instead of doing it in a logical way that fits his character was mind bloggling. Directors already explained the whole First Film being a set-up to the Tournament which is cool I guess. Think of it this way, now that we got introduced to our main set of characters and their powers, the sequel will only introduce us to some new heroes like Johnny Cage and focus more on the Tournament and the fights there because all the ground work has been set up. Agreed. Pissed they killed off Kung Lao. Dude didn't even get a proper fight. Cole was utterly pointless. They should have prehaps gone for Scorpion being recarnated/lost his memory or something and then bam, he remembers everything at the end and kicks Bi-Han's ass. Cole was utterly pointless with liternal plot armour. I hope he gets more of a reduced role in the sequel. I rewatched the original 1995 movie and quite honestly I thought it was better. It felt more personal for alot of the characters and the world felt alive and big. The Reboot feels actually small. Its weird. Like there's background people and guards in the original but in the reboot there's hardly anyone else there. And Goro had more personality and felt like a proper character instead of just a cgi boss fight. And WTF was Raiden doing when the Temple got attacked? Other than that I enjoyed the overall film but it could've been better. Im not surprised. Years ago back in...Must have been between 2007/09. I was studying Media at College and we got told on a day that Noel was going to come in to talk with us, give us advice, a lecture of sorts basically because he was filming nearby in the Park area which is basically 5 minutes away from where our College was. The guy never showed up or gave a heads up he wouldn't turn up. Couldn't be asked or take into consideration to come in for a few quick minutes and educate us. Since then I've always felt he comes across as a egotiscal jackass who thinks he's all that. Its a shame because I loved Mickey in Doctor Who but the Actor behind that character was clearly not a decent bloke. Plus all the sex and shit he had in his Trilogy of films. I don't know man. It always felt weird how that came across, not to mention the sudden focus on his character in the next two films after the first one. Like the guy was hyping himself up. Like I said, ego. Yes. Batman and Superman are far better known that their movie lost money to Ant-Man which came out around that time followed with Civil War which got the better reviews and love from the majority of critics and fans. And Doomsday was so unstoppable that he died 20 minutes later after appearing while Zemo fullfilled his plans of splitting the Avengers apart which resulted in Thanos crub stomping them all and destorying half the universe whose aftermath is still felt 5 to 6 years later in the world even after half the universe came back. Then we come to Leon's Actor and he is for me the worst choice. I've seen this guy in one movie aka Zombieland 2 and I wasn't impressed really. Not to mention Leon is supposed to be the cliche pretty boy American Hollywood type of hero. Instead we got...Leon Scott Kennedy the Indian? Its at this point you can tell they're trying to appeal to the woke crowd with this and its bluffing. But I guess they had to race change someone because the majority of the cast are a bunch of white guys. But this just feels so...forced. Im hoping he gives a good performance but it doesn't feel like they were even looking for talent but just for someone to feel that PC slot. Its just weird. That said I hope he does a better job than the cosplayer they got for Retribution. He might not look like Leon but hopefully he can act like the character in spirit. Overall, I hope the film is good and I hope these actors all pull off their performances and I can't wait to see the Trailer for this when it comes out. If this is to be the last film I'd prefer a older and more badass Short Round to appear alongside Mutt and have the two form a rivalry or brotherly bond together with Indy just getting sick and tired of their antics. It'd be a nice way to bring it full circle since Temple of Doom is technically the "First" Indy Storyline wise. After Game of Thrones I can't be hyped for this. But unlike GOT this has a actual completed storyline so you can't really screw up with adapting it. How long does the life span last though? Rex is still going strong with Gregor and Wolff during Rebels. Hmm. Civil War by far. It presented better themes and the main characters of Steve, Tony, Bucky, T'Challa and Zemo all had meaningful themes and arcs while developing the other characters and didn't hold your hand and expected you to understand all the character's motivations and actions from having seen the previous films. BVS Ultimate Edition is good. Not great but its a large improvement but when compared to Civil War, Civil War just did everything better. The execution of what they were trying to do and tell was better handled wheres with BVS it was a rushed job that didn't feel earned. Just watched the episode. I liked it. Its a straight up hardcore sequel to The Clone Wars. The first minutes were interesting. It does retcon somewhat the origins of a certain character from their comic origins in this episode which was fine. The Bad Batch...Gotta give credit to the Voice Actor doing all these voices of these characters and basically talking to himself. Its crazy. Some familiar Character Cameos which was great. Its interesting to see what happened post ROTS straight away and how things began to change with the Empire starting to take over in their early days. Out of the Bad Batch the most annoying character is Wrecker. He's basically a man-child/jock and its annoying and off-putting when you compare him to the rest of the cast and his actions. Hope he gets better or killed off. The new character of Omega is interesting. On one hand she's there as a way for the kid audience to get attached to the show but there's also clearly some major set-up being done with her and Im curious to see where that goes. Im thinking this show or series will end with the Bad Batch being responsible for killing off all the loyal Empire Clones by activating some sort of kill switch and that explaining why the Empire had no more Clones in their service at the time of the original trilogy. I don't know, its just this weird feeling Im getting that they might go in that route because the only thing we've been told was they just simply stopped using them and started drafting normal people into the Empire's Army. But I think this show might go darker and say otherwise. That or the Bad Batch do something to make the Clones question the Empire and Palpatine does something to kill them all off. View all replies >
