Doesn't seem to draw the same hype as the old one and he's been on the screen since Winter Soldier. I don't even think the Red Hulk will draw as much hype either with the type of energy Ford has been throwing around. Lot of his recent movies have been more or less flops since the past 5 years.

BUCKY should have gotten the shield, AND still NOT been renamed.
Falcon can still be his partner. Hell, he could be hte lead of the movie, But, Sam Wilson just is NOT the character of Captain America.
In the comics, Sam Wilson was Cap's best friend and for a time, took over the mantle of Captain America when Steve was incapacitated.
So, it is not diversity being shoved down our throats.
Marvel was ahead of its time in having diverse characters.
Marvel Comics has done everything and a pair of pants. That doesn't mean that all is taken seriously.
Captain America is not this guy, and nobody cares for him. This movie will be a flop unless they bait people with something, like a big ensemble, a famous villain or someone returning.
Of course not. It's a comic book. Well, you have a right to your opinion, but, personally, I loved the idea of Cap having an African American friend. It showed that he was not racist. I also think they picked the perfect actor to portray him in the movies. I think Anthony Mackie did a great job.
Maybe the movie will be a flop. Only time will tell. I personally don't think so.

Anthony Mackie was a great side-kick.
Now to the topic being discussed - Anthony Mackie is going from side-kick, to main character. He doesn't have that charisma or even acting ability.
Worse than that, he goes from side-kick to straight up using the name and franchise of a previously known and loved character/actor. Clearly he is out of his league.
