Wow what a unique plot idea

don't know but i love these kinds of stories. is this one by chance based on a true story? that's always a good boost.

Of course they changed a lot of things. Doug White (the father) actually had a pilot's license, he was not completely inexperienced as he was in the film. They were not able to remove the dead pilot from the left seat. I guess the film producers did not want a corpse on scene for most of the film instead of Heather Graham.

The weather was good and White had few problems coming in for a landing while being talked through it by those on the ground.
