Why are haters so stupid?

I understand if the movie is too complicated for you to understand but why on Earth would you plaster your ignorance all over the internet? And by that I meancomplaining about bitchy nit picks that show a complete lack of understanding of the films ex) "Bruce quit because of Rachel", "Bruce moped around for 8 years", "Alfred would never leave Bruce", "How did Bruce get back to Gotham?", "There aren't enough Batsuit scenes", etc.

Poor Christopher Nolan, he worked so hard to create a deep, thought provoking, character driven trilogy of Batman films and it turned out most people weren't smart enough for his genius. At least I am smart enough to appreciate what he did for me. The haters should probably just stick with the Disney Star Wars films, much closer to their intelligence level.

reply

I like the first two films and think the third is a travesty in comparison.

If that makes you smarter than me then so be it, no complaints from my end.

Could you share why you think the third was so smart to make fools like me feel a little less dejected by the finale to two brilliant movies please?

reply

It obviously is because all of the complaints that I have heard about it stem from a lack of understanding of the film. Please read my above comment.

You are the one who says it is an important film.

You therefor need to provide evidence to back up your claim.

Go and read the alphabet backwards to get my reasoning.

reply

It's an incredibly important film, it shows how psychologically damaged Bruce was from his obsession of being Batman and from what happened in the first two films. It shows how he has to rediscover himself and that he had to be stuck down in a pit for 6 months to become Batman once again. It shows how he went from a man who didn't care about his life to someone who regained his fear of death and because of that he was able to "rise" from the pit and now had the skills he needed to defeat Bane and save Gotham. It brings Nolan's trilogy to a satisfying conclusion where he is able to put his obsession behind him and have a life for himself now that he has inspired the people of Gotham to take back their city from the corrupt and it didn't have to be based on a lie or a false martyr (Dent). Many people don't understand the symbolism of the pit, it is simply too far over their heads and my advice is stick to Batman and Robin or Batman v Superman.

Cool story bro.

reply

I'm glad I showed you the way.

reply

Don't even bother wasting your time, dude. If he needs to be explained why a movie is good then he doesn't really learn anything. What he needs is to be educated and to learn how to use his mind to think for himself, rather than be controlled by the media telling him what to like and what not to.

reply

There is literally nothing in this movie that is too complicated for anyone to understand.

reply

It is hands down the greatest conclusion to any trilogy.

reply

Nope There are other third entries that are better when measuring objective data. When you say hands down that is incorrect. You must quantify it with imo. Bourne Ultimatum is better according to objective data.

imdb TDKR>>>The Bourne Ultimatum
box office TDKR>>> The Bourne Ultimatum
award wins/nominations The Bourne Ultimatum>>>TDKR
Rottentomatoes The Bourne Ultimatum>>>TDKR
Metacritic The Bourne Ultimatum>>>TDKR

The Bourne Ultimatum wins 3/5 rounds. Therefore according to objective data The Bourne Ultimatum>>>TDKR. Suck on that. Also The Good The Bad and The Ugly has better objective data as well.

I am absolutely too stupid to understand why Batman sets fire to the thin ice that his friends are dangerously stumbling around on.

BB: B+
TDK: A-
TDKR: D+ (people who love this film are mouth breathers and/or were at that special stage of childhood where a movie like this seems like magic)

reply

That always annoyed me because A. Why did he waste so much time painting a flaming bat? And B. How come no-one saw him do it? Especially since he chose that spot because it's the most noticeable in the city.

More importantly, did he pay for Alfred's drink at the end?

reply

It was intended to rally the people of Gotham together to make a stand against Bane. It was also symbolic in the sense that the Batman character that we are familiar with is back now that he has risen from the pit and returned to Gotham. The fire rises.

Have you not figured out by this point that he is a master of theatricality and deception? This isn't anything new, maybe you should learn to pay attention or get into another franchise that doesn't require you to think.

reply

Shouting to the city. "HI, EVERYONE, I'M BACK!" Doesn't sound very deceptive to me.

The fact I asked the question means that I did think though. There's just no satisfactory answer as proven by your lack of one.

reply

Whether Bane knew he was back or not at that point didn't matter, the bomb was going off in like 4 hours. It was however essential to rally the city to his cause if they were ever going to have a chance to stop Bane and the film showed that it worked on Folley as he later gave his life for the city and regained his honor.

By the way you asked why no one saw him and it's been clearly established that he can get from place to place with no one noticing. Try watching the first 30 minutes of Batman Begins and actually pay attention.

reply

"Oh hooray! Look, Batman's back!" think the people who are falling through the ice Batman is melting.
What a genius.

reply

Don't seem to remember people falling through the ice in that scene, I'm not sure we were watching the same movie.

reply

The film was a mess. You can tell us over and over how smart you are, it won't change how poorly made the film is. Glad you enjoy it. Great that you have such faith in your intellect. It's still a crappy movie.

reply

They are making new Batman films with Ben Affleck, maybe you should stick to those I think you'd like them and understand them better.

reply

I hate to break it to you, but a person can understand a film and still think it's shitty. I think The Dark Knight Returns is a shoddily-made mess of a film.

reply

I beg to differ, I have heard all of the complaints in the book and they all stem from an inability to understand the film.

reply

The opinions of obvious trolls are worthless, as is every dull, bland, monotonous post you make.

reply

Yes I see you don't have any intelligent contributions to my thread. Thank you for proving my point.

reply

Totally agree. This film feels like Nolan put all his previously discarded ideas in a tombola then filmed what ever came out at random with no consideration as to whether it worked as a whole. Then there's just the laughably bad moments that felt like they came from a Saturday morning cartoon: teleporting Batman, *EVERY* cop in New work locked in the sewers, miracle broken back cures, guys armed with sticks charging into machine gun fire, Anne Hathaway's stupid face.

It's a clusterfuck of biblical proportions.

reply

This movie is not complicated. It is easy to understand. I just don't like it, and I don't care how hard Nolan worked on it. The original poster's simple-minded sycophancy suggests he is a child.

reply

That's what I thought but as it turns out all of the complaints I have heard about TDKR are a direct result of not understanding it. Examples:

- How did Bruce get back to Gotham?
- If Miranda Tate was really Talia why would she sleep with Bruce?
- Bruce quit because of Rachel
- The bomb would have caused a tsunami
- Why didn't Bane have guards at the top of the pit

And the list goes on....

reply

Totally agree. This film was a near masterpiece. People have gotten incredibly stupid the last few years. Those stupid Disney Star Wars and MCU movies which the TDK haters adamantly praise so much are littered with problems, yet they nitpick on this because why? I have no idea what motivates these morons. It has baffled me for years.
