I find this young generation hilariously ignorant of us old farts and the notion that we loathe women in “strong” or “tough” roles.

WE are the generation of ELLEN RIPLEY(1979) and SARAH CONNOR(1984).

Not them.

McCarthy is clearly trolling and she knows it. All of this Hollywood gender swapping is a big troll game.

It's one of those things that doesn't quite translate to women, exterminators isn't exactly a job that appeals to many women.

Well, clearly she’s a jackass. The movie was just awful. I actually usually like her and Wiig but they weren’t funny at all here because the writing wasn’t funny.

The all female aspect felt like it was being made for feminists or a female orientated audience which may have alienated viewers and probably resulted in it's lukewarm reception.

It's always best to go with a mixed cast of guys and girls if you want a female lead.

Whether a character is a woman or not really doesn't matter it's the script that matters, female empowerment really isn't relevant especially in a movie about ghost hunting.

Would the film had been better if it was more male driven? yeah maybe if you got different writers, and would a female ghostbuster work better in a passing of the torch film? Yeah.

People don't like blatant oppression of anything male centric in popular culture. F that fat pig.

Calling audiences sexist wasn't raising expectations too high as just scarring off customers. McCarthy isn't exactly who you would call a sex symbols for young boys.
