Is this an inspiring watch for primary schoolers?
Wondering with all the reviews will it be relevant enough to capture the attention of my primary school going daughter with who I discuss space every once in a while...

shareI would say probably not.. It's a very good film, beautifully shot and probably more accurate in detail than other space films. But it's more about a man suffering from the loss of his daughter and his wife coping with the effect on him and the family.
shareThanks much.... you were spot on.... caught up on this recently and it would not have captured by 7 yr old's imagination much...
shareIt's too slow for kids. And as the guy said. It's about an adult man coping, badly with loss.
They just won't relate or care.
If you want to teach young boys how to man up and keep their problems to themselves raising the massive male suicide rate even further it's perfect.
No. It's entertaining, but historically and technically inaccurate. "Apollo 13" or the documentary "Apollo 11" would be much better for kids to see.
shareOnly the last half an hour maybe. The rest was pretty boring even for me, an accomplished human
shareIt's inspiring, but more of an adult drama than an historical biopic. It emphasizes the extreme danger of his mission, and the personal sacrifice, not the glory of his achievements.
