7.5?! How? Read the 800 IMDb user reviews. They’re 80% 1,2,3,4 out of 10. People overwhelming hated this movie in user reviews yet it has a 7.5 on IMDb? Something smells.

I'm still pissed and only go to IMDB when forced.
Their chat board was a septic gas-fire, so much vileness that I am glad I don't see anymore. They do still have member reviews--what more of an input do you want? Your "decades of interesting conversations full of information from professionals" was mostly long drawn-out, extremely repetitive and non-informative flame-wars between two cinephile manques. Good-riddance! (I'm sure they still lurk in some dark corner of the internet, if you really want to quench your thirst for such juvenila.)

shareMaybe you're selectively viewing. Rotten Tomatoes has it 82% critics and 69% audience (5000 votes). Metascore has it at 77 based on 64 critic reviews. On IMDB you can see a graphic breakdown of the votes, showing how it got to that average (which is 6.9 now.) People did not "overwhelmingly hate" it. Look again, try to maintain objectivity, and get back to us.
