I never knew Transformers was a comic book before a cartoon.

Also, try to avoid half’s when rating. Try to make the hard choice. Is it a seven or is it an eight?

I frankly can only think of 2 Superhero movie series where I liked all 3 movies. Thor and Captain America. I am in the minority not liking Dark Knight Rises. I just thought it wasn't very good. Certainly not as good as the first 2 movies. I am also in the minority not liking Spider-Man 2. Spider-Man 3 also wasn't very good. The 3rd X-Men movie The last Stand was terrible. Iron Man 2 and 3 were just meh to me. Especially after reading some of his original 60s and early 70s comics. He never even got to fight the real Mandarin and the death of Janice Cord couldn't be adapted for tone reasons.

And don't get me started on the original Superman and Batman movies. The first 2 Superman and Batman movies were good. Then they went to crap afterwards. It's so funny that most of the time, most sequels end up being bad.

The only comic book trilogy in which all three films are superb is the MCU Spider-Man trilogy. I can't think of any other without at least one poor film.

nolan batman - aside from my love for im3, this might be my most contrarian position, in that i guess i kinda like these movies but overall none of them excite me, and i think both tdk & tdkr are far far far too long.

x-men - newer run - pretty middling (though i think dark phoenix is treated too harshly), but dofp is one of the very best cbms imo, & doesn't get enough respect i'd say.

dceu here i actually feel i'm being too harsh...cuz...i think man of steel is 2/3s of a great movie. until it gets to that numbing, endless section that ends it, it's actually great. a better version of the morose, dark tone that nolan attempted imo.

& i think bvs is a fascinatingly bad movie. it's terrible to me, but terrible in a fun way, in that it's enjoyable to go back to it and kinda gawk at its ridiculousness.
