Who’s the sixth?

So, I see Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Lizard, Sandman, and Electro. Will a Sinister Six be in this film and if so, who do yoou guys think it could be?

Vulture? Venom? Someone else?

Wow, you’re right. I could’ve sworn there were six villains in the film.

Vulture is kind of a good guy now, Venom too, so it can’t be them. Perhaps Scorpion will finally show up, or Rhino from the Amazing-verse will be brought in. Hell, maybe even that shadow guy with the hat, he hasn’t done anything yet. Or maybe Mysterio isn’t actually dead.

During the end credits scene where he decided not to reveal Peter’s identity to Scorpion.

It’s a stretch, but I don’t expect him to fight Peter again anytime soon since Peter dated his daughter and saved his life after fighting him.

There's a rumor they are only going with five villains because Sony still wants their Sinister Six movie. Ugh.

I genuinely think it’ll just be the five villains.

In the second trailer Doctor Octopus isn’t seen at the end battle at the Statue of Liberty so I think he could be written out of the movie at some point.

Then we have the three Spider-Men vs the three villains Sandman, Electro and Lizard and then a final fight with Green Goblin.

If there is a sixth villain there’s no one really iconic left to show from
the movies unless they’re unveiling Scorpion but I don’t know why they’d keep him hidden in the marketing.

It'll be bully Peter Parker from Spiderman 3.

There are two versions of Green Goblin in the trailer, Dafoe's version, and another wearing goggles. Maybe he's Hobgoblin, or a different Green Goblin from another universe?

The one wearing goggles is DaFoe. He’s just sporting new gear much like Doc Ock and Electro have new weapons.

Hard to tell in that brief shot, but I'll take your word for it. We see him in two different costumes in the trailer, so it's still possible that Goblins from two timelines show up. However, my hunch is it's either Venom, being saved for a reveal in the film, or the Rhino. Not sure why they'd keep Rhino out of the trailer, unless his new costume is super bad-ass.

I was referring to Ned. Supposedly Jacob Batalon lost 101 lbs for his role in this film. Why would he undergo something so drastic unless he had a major part? Ned Leeds is one of the Hobgoblins from Spidey lore.

The original Sinister Six were:

Doc Ock
Mysterio
Kraven
Electro
Sandman
Vulture

There are at least two members missing from the trailer and Green Goblin is in it, which means they're not going with the original line-up, so who knows?

Except Kraven hasn't ever been adapted to film. Which is why he's not there.
