People have never cared for the Fantastic Four

In todays superhero landscape, the whole concept of the group is just too goofy and people really aren't interested after Fox's disaster of a reboot. I expect another Marvels sized flop

If they add some imagination with their superpowers for once in a FF movie, and a genuine sense of spectacle, they might have something. Especially if Galactus is the rumored villain. Coming out swinging hard with a foe like that, but he can always come back. *shrugs*

Yes. It was boring back then. But got some traction because Hollywood tried to make Jessica Alba happened and young Chris Evans was there too. By the time second movie came - everyone were over it.

Then for some reason they decided to reboot it with way worse and boring actors. It failed and flopped on every level. Because no one was wondering what Fantastic Four is up to.

Few years later they decide to reboot it again. With zero interest from public and when every superhero movie flops. And they cast even worse actors no one gives a crap about. A 48 years old grandpa everyone are tired of seeing all the time everywhere. And d-list 35 years old actress no one even gave a crap about.... And some d-list tv actor who had his 15 seconds of fame in a tv show everyone moved on from. And who is that 4-th guy I don't even know.

Good luck with their future flop.

You'd think with all the recent flops they've had Marvel would just cancel this and focus on movies that actual might generate them some revenue.

I actually think that Fantastic Four are some of the superhero names that were mainstream even before the superheroes boom. Everyone knows them. I am not saying they are knows by the mainstream audience like the X-Men or Spiderman, but they're close to that. They were surely more popular than Iron Man or Thor before the superheroes boom. So i think this is actually one of the few MCU movies that can still generate some hype, because people wont care for Shang Chi or Captain Marvel, but they will care for the Fantastic Four.

they are actually very popular

Nobody cared or even knew about the Guardians of the Galaxy, and they managed to have a successful trilogy. A Fantastic Four movie can work, they just need good writers. Galactus and Doctor Doom are two of the best villains in Marvel, they deserve a proper movie. Sadly, that will never happen in our lifetime, apparently.

As someone else pointed out, the cast leaves a lot to be desired, and Disney is still doubling down on their woke writing, so this will likely be strike 3.

That’s absolute BS.
