Where did she come from??

I hope this is explained at some point but I highly doubt it ever will be.
How was Arya able to get past all of those wight walkers? Did she wear a wight walker face magic disguise? Did Bran use the pack if ravens to air drop Arya into the circle of walkers?

And then once getting past them, how was she able to leap in the air so high that she was coming down on an angle to stab the night king?
She couldn't have jumped from the tree because it was on the other side of where she jumped.
It was already unrealistic to have her penetrate the circle of walkers undetected, but that super high and long jump puts it in an entirely different realm of retarded.

I dont care how much training she did over the course of the entire series, you cant jump like that. She has never done a jump like that. She could have used that magic jump a bunch of times during the episode and it would have saved her life.
For instance in the library room when she was trapped she could have done a flying leap on top of a bookshelf.

8 seasons of build up to the night king showdown and he was defeated by such a ridiculous method. I dont care that it was Arya who delivered the final blow, it actually makes sense now that they brought up the blue eyes thing from season 3 again. But the way she did it was utterly unbelievable and is sloppy writing that will be a sore spot on the series forever.

Just as funny / absurd was the hair on the white walker moving from the wake of Arya running. What the fuck is she, Sonic the Hedgehog lol? You'd need to move far faster than a human can, to create a wake like that.

Jon didn't know how she was able to sneak up on him. She knows all the ways around Winterfell. She's an assassin. She runs past the Dragon because Jon has its attention. The dead in the immediate area are still because the night king wants to be the one to kill Bran. Open for Arya to kick his ass. She has been training for it since childhood.

I also assumed this whole time that she climed on the roof and the wall surrounding the woods/garden as she was on a upper level with Melisandre and the hound. I never thought that she had to pass the dragon.
Also, the WW seemed to be on “NK: nobody move, this guy is mine” mode. They and the wights seemed to all always get the same command. Either: do nothing and just stand there or attack anyone at will.
So since they where all just standing there...and the NK obviously knowing that she jumped him; probably wanted to deal with her himself as well...
I was ok with the way it went down.
The desperation of so many dead and dying, the guy who we where supposed to think should kill the NK feeling desperate and frustrated enough that he just gave into his emotions because he couldn’t get past the dragon...the short lived panic of the NK catching Arya and choking her and then relief that it’s over. I thought it was intense enough.

Yes he does. In their reunion scene two episodes before, he's praying in the godswood when she comes up to him, and his very first words to her are, "How did you sneak up on me like that?"

(Which I wish they would have included in the "previously on GOT" bit right before Episode 3.)

Oh yeah, the jump was to make it look cool. Lol

I agree, I posted something about hat scene when Theon died and I thought that whole scene was just
stupid. He was suppose to protect Bran, then he marches towards the night king outnumbered ; I get he knew he was
going to die, but an actual fight between the two and then Arya could have then be added to the scene once Theon was
down, she could have intervened and then use her sword fighting skills and then switch to the dagger. But Theon dies so quick; then night king did this long walk in slow motion, WTF was that about?.. then he stood gazing at Bran, that part didn't make sense
either, why he would pause? but then suddenly Arya flies out in the screen from where? she was in the castle last, then how did she make it down to where Bran was?.. and yeah that jump was also odd not just for Arya, but the entire show' GOT they have never had those an action scene where someone leaped like Arya; that you see in maybe a Star Wars, it didn't match any of the fighting scenes of entire show, it just looked weird and out of context as if Arya had superpowers.

The whole battle was poorly staged in my opinion. The take down of the two main enemies in that battle and by little females was also a bit on the eye roll side of things.

Not to mention anti climatic. Why didn't they just send Arya in to begin and spare thousands of lives?

reply

Oh come on, it's just a tv show! Yes, it was badly written and incopetently executed, but it's not worth arguing over and over and over again. Arya is a super duper magic assassin. Done. Deal with it!

I thought she came down from above, from the tree or a structure, like she did when chased by the T1000. She was there before the WW showed up.

The only problem I have is her screaming. That's a TV/film thing that annoys me to no end, similar to predators standing still and screaming in front of their would-be victim before chasing them.

She learned these skills in season 1 from chasing cats.
