Wasn't it snowing in Kings Landing at the end of last season?

Now this season theres no snow anywhere there. Or was that supposed to be real what we saw last season?

reply

It was snowing during a scene of Jamie riding north alone but it wasn't clear where he was. He did appear surprised.

I remember it showing it snowing in that room where the map is on the floor, the room where Jaime last saw Cersei.

reply

No but the scene I mentioned is right afterward.

reply

I'm sure it will snow there again

reply

The writers are dumb if you haven't noticed yet

It is possible for a place to get 2 inches of snow one day, and then be 60 degrees and sunny the next two. Don't believe me, visit Michigan in March.

Yeah but Winters in westeros is supposed to last years, thats why they made Winter Is Coming such a big thing throughout the show cause it aint coming just for a few months it can last over a decade.

It appears the further south you go, the less severe the weather, just like our world. Maybe it gets worse as the winter drags on. Who knows? This is the only one we've seen. They implied it gets at least cold enough in King's Landing that they can't grow crops - at one point they were discussing the stockpiling of grain for the winter and said they had enough for everyone for five years. I'm assuming they have enough for the VIPs to last a lot longer once they seal up the castle and the common folk are on their own. It makes sense that the north (which is cold even in summer) would remain colder than the south through winter.

Winters don't work that way. It doesn't snow nonstop during winter. And temperatures vary so snow can melt pretty fast or not stick in the first place. It's also early winter so the temperature and snow can be milder.
