Sheeran cameo brutally awkward

The epitome of new era British beta male. Pathetic.

reply

Lol, the truth!!

reply

Agreed. Felt forced. Nice little scene, but doesn't add much, and we're at a point where they shouldn't be doing little throwaway scenes just to indulge egos.

reply

Highly awkward but probably fun for Sheeran fans.

reply

I might be in the minority here, but the second I saw it was him, I was expecting it to be more awkward than it was. Glad he didn't speak much, it could have been a lot worse.

reply

I really don't understand the Ed Sheehan thing. He is so poppy and mediocre, not handsome, yet people go crazy for him. To me, he is just a ginger Justin Timberlake minus the appeal. I hated his cameo, it was so cringe-worthy and pointless.

reply

In case you people haven't noticed GoT has an immense fanbase made of SJW. They're like cockroaches crawling around demanding all the "goodness" of their ideals being brought into GoT rhetoric. Expect more.

reply

What is SJW?

reply

It's a disease otherwise known as liberal/pseudo-liberal/modern communist. SJW - social justice warrior. It's a disease that opens your organism to even bigger illneses, like plague spores of islam and other nasty surprises.

reply

Ah ok so you're full of sh!t. I'll just ignore your comments from now on. Thanks.

reply

Awww, no safe space for you here either?

reply

That's not quite how I would've described it but the poster is right. There's a segment of the Game of Thrones fanbase that says they love the show but then complain that their ideals aren't being represented on the show. Basically complaining just to complain but D&D, being the true hacks they are, will acquiesce to these people.

reply

Anyone who uses the idiotic phrases from the far-right is a dim-wit.
Just more idiotic focusing on calling others names because they don't have the brains to figure out what to do on their own.

reply

its not very often I beg for a scene to end, but oh boy did I for that one. Just why?? why is he here? this isn't that sort of show

reply

That's my thoughts as well. Why do this sort of cameo? The show has never thrown in cameos like that before and it shouldn't start now...especially with "popular" singers. It's trite. The end of that scene was pretty good with that laughter amongst the soldiers and Arya...but they could have gotten any actor to do that singing part and not some nod to today's horrid pop music.

reply

The funny thing is I had no idea who this was until I read reviews of the episode afterwards. I didn't find him out of place or awkward at all, just a bunch of Lannister soldiers enjoying a much needed break after more chaos in the Riverlands erupts thanks to their honored guest.
