Worst Character on the Show?

I know Skyler is notoriously considered to be the worst by many people for always raining on the meth parade. Walter Jr. also sometimes gets flack for being a stereotypical whiny teenager. Some might hate Marie just for being a comic relief sort of nothing

This might be controversial, but for me it's Jesse. After like the first or second season he walks a very strange line between a sanctimonious, reluctant emo and total fuck-up that serves to inject obstacles into the story via his stupidity

He's a much funner character early in the show, but then he becomes an even bigger drag than Skyler. At least we don't get over a dozen extended scenes of Skyler crying or being depressed

WE GET IT, YOU'RE A METH DEALER WITH A HEART OF GOLD. YOU ARE THE CONSCIENCE OF THE SHOW. BRAVO, HOORAY, EVERYBODY GIVE THIS MAN A STANDING OVATION AND CUP HIS BALLS

This is a valid criticism. He was introduced as sort of a stereotypical high school dropout loser. "Yay, science!" But then becomes this street wise savvy do gooder.

It reminds me a lot of the druggie kid from Fear the Walking Dead, who went from heroin addict to hero, because reasons.

Thnanks :D

Never Fear The Walking Dead or the original Walking Dead. And I have no issue with drug addicts or recovering drug addicts, but Hollywood seems to be pretty bad at portraying them

Pinkman was a meth addict with perfect white teeth and a healthy weight, nice skin, no bags under his eyes, and well-functioning. He was just forgetful, lazy, and airheaded. They basically portrayed him as a pot head

Jessie's stupidity was definitely annoying, and I'm not going to lie, when he became a meth slave I felt like he had it coming. However, in my opinion, he never had what I would call a "heart of gold". The only times I can remember him really having any kind of conscience was when a kid was involved. Let's not forget he tried to get a whole group of recovering addicts back on drugs.

By "worst", do you mean "most annoying"? Or, like, "poorly written" or "underdeveloped" or "cliche"?

I agree with your sentiment that it was ridiculous for him to be concerned about children while dealing drugs.

That being said, the character that I hated the most was Ted Beneke.

He was just so irritating. He defrauded the IRS and said it was to protect his employees. No, jerkoff, you did it for yourself to maintain your luxurious lifestyle.

Then he is so clueless about the danger he is in and the danger he poses to others by not paying the IRS. He refuses to pay even when the money is given to him in a silver platter.

You are in the hole with the IRS, your bookeeper pretended to be a bimbo to keep you from going to jail, the money you need falls from the sky and you buy a Mercedes? How stupid can you be?

And then when Saul’s A-Team arrives and tells him he needs to pay, he, again, thinks it is nothing and tries to bullshit them. To make it worse, he actually tries to run away.

He is so entitled and clueless that it is infuriating.

/end rant.

I'm almost done rewatching the show since it first ended and great call on Ted. He had an affair with a woman he previously sexually harassed and who just had a kid and whose husband has terminal cancer. Jerk. Then he cooked the books to keep living his lifestyle and keep his company afloat, then asks Skylar to help him. Then he is given money and told why the money was given and he still kept it. Total scumbag.
