Hundreds of meth cooks in a small town? Everyone must have been so poor that if they wanted meth they had to cook it themselves. Your town is probably the reason that cough, cold, and flu medication has to be approved by a clerk at the checkout counter before you can buy it. Jesse didn't assume anything. Walt manipulated him into believing it was the ricin. I recommend you do a re-watch and maybe it will be clearer to you. There seem to be major plot-points that you either missed or are forgetting. Yeah, I can't disagree with that. It's not a plot hole. Walt manipulated Jesse into helping him kill Gus. Yes, the doctors told Jesse it was not ricin, but Gus was dead at that point, so Walt got what he wanted. Walt knew at some point that it would be determined by the doctors that Brock was not poisoned by ricin. Walt also knew that by the time that they figured that out, Gus would hopefully be dead. Walt didn't need Jesse to believe forever that ricin was the poison used on Brock, he only needed Jesse to believe it until Gus was killed. Once Gus was killed, Walt didn't care about the truth being revealed. It does make sense. Walt didn't use the actual ricin on Brock because that would have killed Brock. Walt didn't want to actually kill Brock. Been a couple years since I saw the show, but Walt had the ricin lifted from Jesse because he wanted to manipulate Jesse into believing that Gus somehow found out about the plot to kill him, and that Gus somehow stole the poisoned cigarette. Walt wanted Jesse to think that Gus then used the poison on Brock as retaliation and punishment. Yeah, there is no way Bosch would realistically give an inmate his phone number. Even if he did, it would have been a burner phone. I do think though that we will find out that the call is about something else, and not the murder of Dockweiler. I could see Bosch having the guy beat up repeatedly while in prison, but I don't think he would have him specifically killed. I guess we'll find out for sure in season 3. I thought the exact same thing. As soon as Bosch was just strolling along onto the boat, and headed into the lower cabin, I knew the guy would be up top watching him. Bosch didn't even make an effort to try to sneak and remain unseen. Like you though, I really enjoy this show and the characters. What I don't get is the lack of wildlife. There should be no reason for cannibalism. Deer, rabbits, etc. would be thriving in that environment. Well it was a 4 mile round trip for the guy to get the medicine and come back, so really just 2 miles. Still though, may as well have been 4 miles considering the shape he was in. I'm guessing the writers probably had to have thought of that, but were still willing to throw logic out the window so that they could have their touchy-feely "baby-girl" hug right after she leaves the burning building.
