I hate to admit this

because I really enjoy MCU movies but I've come to the conclusion that Chris Evans is rather dull.

He is and I never really liked him as Cap.

He is good but he has a disconnected quality. Captain America not only got physically enhanced but mentally too. He is extremely smart and confident.

Some of this has to do with the story too. He would never dance in the USO or any of that.

He's not dull, he's square. It's refreshing to see a hero who is truly heroic and not all angtsy and conflicted. Evans captured the essence of the character, probably better than any other hero in the MCU. He does need some edgier side kicks to make his movies work, except the first one.

He absolutely is. Bottom of the pack of the four Chris's.

It's the character that's dull!

I actually thought that Evan's and the Marvel writers did a decent job of making Cap more interesting than any of his previous incarnations. They made him very likeable, but awkward and out of place enough to make an ubermensch sympathetic. Sure, he's still not that interesting, but how much more could they do.

^TRUTH!^

I thought he pulled it off well.

I love watching Cap fight and think he's a "good person", but I always found his Cap to be an asshole. He's never wrong and unnecessarily disagreeable. Even right up to the last minute, when Falcon asks him if he wants to talk about his life, "No, I don't think I will." Fuck off, ya dick. I don't know why they wrote him that way. He's pretty bland and emotionless. The only emotion he shows is when he likes to needle people - like that comment with Falcon or constantly going against the grain.
