shareAnyone willing to give this movie a chance, including fans of Marvel films (by far the most critically and financially successful superhero/comic movies today, by the way), will not care about the name as long as the movie is good. That’s called being open minded. Less open minded viewers like you are obviously consumed by this.
Now knowing how Marvel’s Captain Marvel (very appropriate name, be honest with yourself) will be known as the DEFINITIVE Captain Marvel worldwide, then predictably the DCeutards will keep crying about this issue. And why would “clueless” Marvel fans go see a flick titled Shazam if they know nothing about the character? Heh, so many of you DC fanatics are so mindless that it’s highly likely a bunch of you will go see the MCU film trying to convince yourself that in reality it’s going to feature the DC character. Lmao!
A cheesy “mystical” name like Shazam fits this DC character much better anyway. So suck it up, jimmy boy.

For sure. So many Vertigo stories would be so good adapted to the screen. They seem to have a little firmer stance aligning with real life. I'm sure that's why the Preacher series is so damn good. Bring on Swamp Thing,Transmetropolitan and Scalped! I hated Y the Last Man, but nobody's perfect.
