Why does someone's skin colour matter? Way to focus on physicality as opposed to acting talent....

reply

way to show your racist card Trumper

reply

I'm not even American ... And what I said is the opposite of racism, literally.

reply

You don't get the woke logic.

Decades ago blacks were supposed to be second class citizens. That was racist. So anti-racism moved forward to 'there shouldn't be second class citizens'.

If you keep progressing in the same direction, the next logical step is 'whites should be second class citizens'. And that's the current state in anti-racism. Of course, if you oppose it, it's a symptom you're likely a racist.

The next future logical step in anti-racism (following that same direction) is supporting that white slavery should be legal in those countries where whites are a minority. Of course, there will racists that will oppose to that. Eventually, political parties that won't support the existence of white slavery will be labeled as racist and far-right.

reply

OK I've read the responses in a different light now.

reply

Oh come on. You obviously have an agenda. I will agree some things I don't agree with like people who think people are responsible for their ancestors actions but most people want equality and not to make whites slaves

reply

Why would you think that most people want equality? There's many different cultures and nations, and the desire of equality is not a common value in the slightest.

Woke culture, for example, doesn't support equality. It supports homogeneity, which is different, and which is a highly praised value in woke culture, but equality is often dismissed.

reply

I don't think woke culture supports homogeneity at all. It clearly has structures; certain voices are definitely more valued than others.

reply

That's normal. Every culture has a clergy system that someway stays aside from the usual social classes and hierarchies.

Wokeness has its clergy and its saints too.

Chibnall is very much a woke preacher.

reply

Wokes hate white males. I mean, 'self-hate', because they're mostly white males.

reply

so , why cant Dr who be black again?
I think , reading everything you've posted , ever , with both your accounts ....
ANY changes to the stautus qout and you start scraeming WOKKKKKKKEEEEE!

You be all like , "whys this slave not in the field picking cotton?"
"is so woke pc!"

what you've got to realise , is that in order to change :
"Decades ago blacks were supposed to be second class citizens. That was racist."
then things *have* to change.
But everytime it does you start throwing a fit screaming that your white male privilege is being eroded.

A good example of this is Dr Who being black. He's been white for 13 incarnations - many of them since the 60s when even the south USA realised blacks were people.

Like i say , in a nutshell, if you dont wont to remain in the dark ages , you are going to see blacks , and maybe even women doing things they didnt previously do .
This is not WOKE , this is PROGRESS
without progress , blacks and women are STILL second class citizens ...

you seem to be of the attitude:
"yeah women can have the vote , and blacks can sit at the front of the bus , as long as they dont actually ever do that"

reply

ANY changes to the stautus qout and you start scraeming WOKKKKKKKEEEEE!

Wrong.

If Doctor Who started to talk about Jesus and preach the message of God, if would scream 'CHHHHHHHHRISTIAAANS'. But that didn't happen. And it's not likely to happen, for what matters, since the BBC is controlled by Wokes, not by Christians.

A good example of this is Dr Who being black. He's been white for 13 incarnations - many of them since the 60s when even the south USA realised blacks were people

And why he can't be white for 13, or 130 incarnations? Main characters in Nigerian series and movies are all black, but the main characters in British series and movies must be 'diverse'? I haven't seen any good reason for that.

Like i say , in a nutshell, if you dont wont to remain in the dark ages , you are going to see blacks

Actually, black societies are still in the Dark Ages, so the more blacks we get, the closer we'll get to Dark Ages.

And that's not a joke. The peak of western civilization happened during the second half of XXth century. Since the start of massive immigration, it went downhill.

reply

" Main characters in Nigerian series and movies are all black"
I guess because 99% of the population in Nigeria is black?

" Since the start of massive immigration, it went downhill."
No , we got internet and iphones. and electric cars. and we started recycling. and we stopped invading the 3rd world and taking their shit (quite so much )

"Actually, black societies are still in the Dark Ages, so the more blacks we get, the closer we'll get to Dark Ages."
I'm almost speechless reeeling from that bombshell , but allow me to retort.
Thats because you wont let them play Dr Who.

reply

I have tried exactly the same as you. The user claims the show has an agenda but it appears he does.

I have to admit I was originally not a fan of the doctor changing sex simply because I had seen the doctor as a Male character but before series 11 my opinion changed and now I wonder if I looked like a lot of these other users. The doctor importantly is an alien but most people seem to think he should have the same qualities as a human. Reminded me of the film Solaris and how people give God human qualities for something that isn't human.

I do think you need to be careful with diversity. I've seen shows with too many characters and it can feel like a checklist if not done naturally but for me diversity is still important.

I'm from a city that is mainly white and recently had a Muslim join my workplace and it's nice to learn stuff first hand from someone. I think when it comes to different cultures too many people just focus on the negatives. I wasn't that keen on series 11 but the episode about the india/Pakistan partition was one of my favourite as it's not something really taught in the UK so it was great to learn some history
