Trump was popular with Democrats and the media until he ran as Republican. But he was a Democrat until he was a Republican, so there's that.

He wasn't, but liberals are often gullible and repeat things they've heard without facts checking, so there's that. Trump only identified as a Democrat for 8 years of his life. in 2009 he saw the disaster that was becoming of the Democrat party and bailed on them after those 8 years. In reality, most of his life he has openly admitted to being a moderate that doesn't like to align with political parties, and often considered himself an independent, seeing positives and negatives with both sides.However,
he's been a registered Republican longer than anything. the Democrat party continued to sink into the shitshow that it is today, so he decided to realign himself with the Republicans in 2012. It has been my pleasure to educate you today.

I would never watch Reality TV, all I knew about Trump was that he was rich. Only became interested around 2014. Just 8 years a Democrat?

And Democrats have enough of a brain to not vote for him. Wonder why he never made it far as a democratic politician. Cant say the same about Republicans. Suddenly he starts catering to his "not racist" audience by fueling paranoia over Mexicans and boom, he gets into office. Hm.

That doesn't make sense. He never tried to be a Democrat politician, so how would he have made it far? He's not the first person to see how the Democrat party has fallen. I was a Dem too, but you don't keep trying to ride a dead horse. And fyi, LOTS of people have concerns about the Mexican boarder, even on the Democrats side. That's why Biden is allowing work to resume on the wall, despite promising it wouldn't happen during his term.

He wasn't accused of being a racist, or a fascist, or a nazi, or a sexual assailant, or anything else that just happened to get heaped on him when he ran against the Democrats. It's almost like they just created that slander to discredit him, rather than it being a legitimate sentiment. It's sad how many gullible liberals didn't recognize how easily they were being manipulated."

This is generally a direct result of what happens when you run as a Republican when you donated to the Democrat Party for like, EVER with picture of Trump & Hillary, all smiles in happier times.. Now they've turned on him because he disrupted their agenda

The idea that Donald was beloved when he was on The Apprentice is pretty untrue. Sure, he was not loathed by most Americans and politicians, but most of America viewed him as a smug billionaire asshole who thought he was the smartest man in the room. He's been critiqued for his stupid comments since the 1980's. He has been teasing a presidency campaign since the 80's and every single time America rolled their eyes. That's why you can find jokes about Trump being president in Pluto Nash, The Simpsons, South Park, all dating back to the late 90's. I remember watching Home Alone 2 on TV as a kid in the late 90s and both my mom and auntie scoffing in disgust at the sight of him. He's been disliked for a very long time, but that was only amplified in recent years.

Yeah, back then he was just renown as a scam artist and attention monger, who's bluster couldn't be backed up with substance. I say this as someone who doesn't fault anyone for voting for him in '16, and maintains that Bush II was a far more monstrous president than The Donald

Correct, he wouldn't, not of anything significant anyway, because it's always been nothing more than a smear campaign since he decided to run for office. That's precisely what the Steele Dossier was. A false report paid for by the Democrats.
