Dumb Title

Never got the title of this flick.
Surely 'Jurassic Park II: The Lost World' would have made a little more sense, no?

Look how dumb these titles look when using the same approach..

The Dark Knight: Batman
Judgement Day: The Terminator
Homecoming: Spiderman
Rogue One: Star Wars

etc

Rogue 1 did the same thing though, as did Solo

How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb: Dr. Strangelove or

Though the title for the last one actually *is* Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

Same with Solo

Agreed. Fwiw, it's because the original second novel was simply titled "The Lost World." The studio was worried about people confusing it with the Doyle novel. So they added the : Jurassic Park to underscore that it was the sequel

What gets me is my nephew who refers to Fallen Kingdom as Jurassic World 2 and I'm like child get it right it's Jurassic Park 5, but he's only 6 so I digress

I've always found it weird that Crichton straight up used the Doyle title, I get that it was meant as a tribute, but it seemed an odd way to pay homage, and now when the majority of people hear Lost World they think of this movie rather than Doyle. Some tribute!

Maybe they should have gone with “The Lost World: Jurassic Park Part 2” kind of Rambo: First Blood Part II and Damien: Omen II.

It was originally meant to be called “Billy and the Clone-a-saurus,” but it was rejected due to being a title no one could possible like.
