So Red's wife was a piece of shit as well?

At the end when their son has the gun pointed at Jeff, Red's wife in a very evil vindictive demanding way says "Do it!!", she didn't say "do it!" in a scared i'm not sure about this but we gotta do it kinda way, she screamed it with a very gleeful evil demanding look on her face as she said it.

Yeah she had no idea about the freezer, but the way she told her scared crying son to murder this guy with that look on her face told me shes not all that sweet and innocent. She had no issue with making her son murder someone, and it would be one thing if as i said she looked scared or unsure when she told her son to do it, but she looked almost as if she was gonna enjoy it.

Plus Jeff didn't come in there shooting everyone or act like a murdering scumbag, he came in there saying he wanted his wife back and that she was locked up in a hole in his barn and even told her "Your husbands a liar and a kidnapper". Why would a guy who wants to murder you for no reason come in there saying that? The wife didn't even question that, she just demanded her son shoot him.

reply

You're imagining things. The mother was angry because her son didn't listen to his father when he told him to shoot the stranger who walked into her house with a gun. There was no glee whatsoever, she was very clearly scared and had no clue what was going on.

reply

He's not imagining anything, she says it with anger: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2YNlWDv95EY. She wants her CHILD to shoot a guy. She is all too fine with putting that burden on him.

She might not know everything about what Red does, but she knows he ain't good.

reply

Link doesn't work. Not that it matters, because I actually said she was angry, but for a different reason the OP implies. The "gleeful evil demanding look" on her face is definitely imagined.

reply

She's angry her kid didn't "listen to" his dad, who told him to shoot a man, yes I saw that. So she's angry her kid didn't commit murder in cold blood? She was willing to put that on her kid. She ain't much better than Red.

reply

"The mother was angry because her son didn't listen to his father when he told him to shoot the stranger who walked into her house with a gun."

Murder in cold blood??? Don't be ridiculous.

reply

Are you not familiar with what those words mean?

reply

I am familiar, so I don't mind explaining it to you: murder in cold blood is NOT shooting a stranger who enters your house with a gun.

You're welcome!

reply

I mean, it's not like Red had his wife locked in a freezer or anything...

reply

It's not like Red's wife and kid had anyone locked in a freezer or anything...

But that's beside the point, the "gleeful evil demanding look" on the woman's face is completely imagined.

reply

Are you brain damaged? His fucking wife was kidnapped by the guy who owns that property; who is a multiple time murderer and thief. Russell could shoot the guy point blank and he would walk.

reply

Nothing whatsoever to do with my reply. But you already know that, otherwise you wouldn't resort to namecalling.

reply

Red - the antagonist and owner of the home Russell's character "breaks into" - kidnapping his wife has "nothing whatsoever" to do with this conversation? What is wrong with your mind that you think this is a legitimate argument?

reply

Because we're talking about the wife and kid being confronted with an armed stranger in their home. Holy freaking shit...

reply

The armed stranger is the one whose wife was kidnapped by the homeowner, correct? The murdering thief?

reply

The wife and kid did not kidnap the woman and do not know who this guy is, correct???

reply

Is it imagined? i think not

What kind of mother has that look on her face telling her child to murder someone whos just told her that her husband has his wife in a hole inside his barn. She just assumes he's lying for some reason? why lie about that when the guy has a gun pointed at you? he has no reason to lie.

reply

No one said she didn't look angry. Also, why the hell would you believe some stranger who walks into your house and points a gun at you???

reply

Lol a normal mother and wife would look scared and be crying, not angry, and not angrily demanding her child kill this man.

Why would a Stranger come in with a gun accusing her husband of kidnapping? kind of a weird thing to accuse someone of, and he was very specific saying "My wife is locked up in a hole in your fucking barn". So in her mind this random guy just made that up? why?

reply

Why??? Because she has no clue who this guy is. Even if she knows her husband is nuts, the stranger could be a bigger nut out to kill them.

reply

This dude is fucking whacked. I'm suspicious he's trolling.

Even if you take his point into account, it's still a nonsensical argument: "The mother was angry because her son didn't listen to his father when he told him to shoot the stranger who walked into her house with a gun."

A woman being pissed her kid didn't shoot a random person point blank in cold blood is rational? Being angry at a kid for NOT shooting...err, I mean "listening to his Pa" is a logical statement, LOL?!

reply

Look at it this way, if a stranger pops into your home with a gun, and for all you know he could kill your entire family, and your son has a loaded weapon on him, the only chance to at the very least disable the man and save your family, couldn't you at least see someone, in a scared, irrational moment, screaming "DO IT", not wanting to die?

I'm sorry, but you guys are projecting/assuming an awful lot from one split second facial expression. Does she want her son to become a killer? Probably not. But does she want her son to die, and he's the only one with any chance of stopping what for all she know might just be some psycho? Yes.

When she opens the freezer, she is shocked and clearly mortified. I don't think she has her own "criminal leanings" as some in here suppose. Did she know her husband was some level of a piece of trash? Maybe. But I'm willing to doubt that she knew JUST how much. And the insinuation that she obviously MUST also be a trash ass criminal like her husband, because of one facial expression in the heat of the moment, IS, yes, a bit of a reach.

reply

The link works fine.

reply

Nope. "Video is not available".

Those socks need a wash!

reply

He's either trolling or EXTREMELY stupid.

reply

Also, as much as I do NOT mean to be this or that or even imposing but, in this day and age OR otherwise, is it not perhaps a little taboo and insensitive to call even BAD women especially words like **** or even the b word and others even if it isn't as forbidden to call male perpetrators certain names here or there?

And if the woman for instance is not even PROVED to being a bad person or a guilty criminal of any kind but merely SUSPECTED, is that not something particularly say disrespectable and not nice?

So maybe you should've asked if Red's wife was also in on it in any way?

P.S. And I don't just ask this because of my own whatever values or morals, I have been told and TAUGHT along those lines. So maybe that's my (and in my case also, Russian) upbringing?

reply

He may not have told her exactly what he was doing -- or even let her know where he kept his prisoners captive --but she probably married him knowing he was a criminal type, and knowing of her own criminal leanings.

And yes, you can see it in her face and hear it in her voice...
