If there was a sequel..

Michael Mann talking about his Heat 2 novel got me thinking about Tarantino doing a PF2 , specifically the way Mann said the characters never left his mind and he has all the backstories and what happened next. and so he's done the sequel/prequel as a novel and wants to make it into a film (obviously the fact Heat is Manns most iconic movie and still resonates today, similar to PF from the same mid 90s era). So surely its the same with QT and PF (we know he's expanded OUATIH in his recent novel. and years ago he was developing The Vega Brothers prequel with Travolta/Madsen)

so if QT were to do the same with PF (a sequel/prequel like Godfather II - part of the inspiration for Heat 2) I guess it'd focus on SLJ, coming back to the life he had in PF after travelling the world Kung Fu style. So that could mean Ving Rhames, Uma Thurman, Harvey Keitel, Tim Roth all returning along with any other QT actors (likes of Leo, Brad, Kurt, MRobbie, Waltz, Buscemi etc - either as new characters or reprising previous roles in the QTCU for fun cameos). Also thered have to be roles for Travolta and Madsen e.g. The Vega Bros as a 10minute mini movie prequel segment. possibly also featuring Bruce Willis - all CGI/Deepfake deaged of course (or maybe animated)

Anyway it wouldn't surprise me if Deadline/THR suddenly announce Pulp Fiction 2 was happening as QTs 10th movie

My idea was similar to yours. I always wanted QT's last movie to be Kill Bill 3, involving Jackson's return as Jules as a major character. And that it would tie together all the threads and characters his films as has been hinted at all along. Such a film would be perfectly timed in the current trend of blockbuster nostalgia.

Yes it could also act as like an 'Endgame' for QT films with various characters from the previous films in some cases interacting (even more so that usual)

I don't think he'd do a sequel to one of his own classics, as his last movie, but hypothetically, if he did decide to do one anyway, he probably wouldnt even count it as his tenth and last film. It would be like kill Bill part 2, just part and parcel with the original, a continuation is some shit.

So much of the compilation is focused on words.

I wish they had done the Vega Bros prequel movie they were chatting about ages ago. Neither actor can play a 30 year old now and the de-aging technology can be pretty distracting.

There was a scene in The Irishman where DeNiro beats the hell out of a shop owner for shoving his teen daughter around and even though the face effects somewhat worked he moved like a guy in his late 70s…Not like in the infamous ‘Billy Bats/Goodfellas’ murder scene when DeNiro looked like he could probably still stomp a guy.

I think the ship has sailed on the Vega Bros movie unless they do a recasting which is really tricky.

The problem with recasting for a prequel is you need a guy that resembles the iconic character or it’s just going to fall flat.
My biggest problem with Solo (18) was that the kid they got not only looked nothing like Han Solo but he lacked the annoying yet charming swagger of Ford who was just perfect.

The Many Saints Of Newark on the other hand really worked as a prequel but they were lucky to have Gandolfini’s son play the young Tony Soprano and the kid looks like his Pop and he can act quite well…
That’s a really good prequel btw👍

I would very much love to see a Vega brothers prequel movie except of course it would be very difficult to cast the roles since Madsen and Travolta are too old now, and the digital de-aging would only go so far, and re-casting new actors as Vincent and "Toothpick Vic" Mr. Blonde would be no small feat.

The Vega Bros as a 90 minute anime movie would be a cool thing, voice cast Madsen/Travolta and others (SLJ, Ving, Keital, etc), limited theatrical release, more for dvd/blu/stream sector, then released as part of a new Pulp Fiction blu/4k set

Wonder if this will come to pass now?

kinda wish he let some cheesy straight to video sequels happen with new, returning and related tarantino actors starring, in the later 90s. would have been fun.
