Arnold's worst after Junior

What a turdfest. So so bad!!

How do you explain such a lively board for a 23 year old movie? Compare to Junior (1994).

This movie is great! Arnold's worse movie is Batman and Robin. I haven't seen Junior in decades.

1, 2 Freddy's coming for you. 3, 4 better lock your door.

Absolutely.

Whoa whoa whoa!
His worst?

Oh please.

reply

This is Arnold's best Comedy.

reply

Nonsense. But I do think Junior is his worst movie. That thing is unwatchable.

reply

It's not that bad.

OP doesn't even explain even a little on why he/she believes it's "So so bad!!" Clearly they don't understand that this is a comedy meant to make fun of the action movie genre.

My only complaint is that the movies budget wasn't big enough to utilize the idea of what the magic ticket was capable of being done with to it's fullest potential. Something like this would make for an amazing Netflix series that's like Black Mirror as in having different stories with different cast centered around someone getting their hands on the Magic ticket one way or another.

reply

Well, to be fair, all the characters Benedict mentions belong to different studios. So it'd be hard to have a movie or Netflix show where Danny grows up and uses the ticket to go into one of the Nightmare on Elm Street movies, one of the Hannibal movies, one of the Dracula movies, one of the King Kong movies, Rose Mary's Baby, and a movie about Hitler. Actually that does bring up a problem with having a magic ticket like that. You'd have to be careful what you watch on your TV or at the theater. A Superhero movie wouldn't necessarily kill you (except Infinity War I guess) but if you watched anything that's R rated for graphic Violence, you'll probably not want to watch it for fear of the ticket sucking you into it and getting killed by the antagonist.

reply

It's one of his best.

It's a great movie but i've wondered for years how it could have been improved upon to be a classic. Should it have been more campy? Should they have cast a different kid? Perhaps leaned a little heavier into the send-up of the action genre? Maybe the stakes wern't high enough? Maybe it got a little too serious with the personal tragedy? I don't know. But i've always felt this movie could have been more while watching it.
