worst part was when dracula is narrating the letter he wrote to john harker

and at the end he says "D". he should have just not said it

or have said "Dracul" instead, even though it said "D" on the letter shown.

Nah, the worst part, and this goes for EVERY Coppola movie btw, is the non-existent romantic chemistry between Harker and Mina. FFC sucks at portraying loving relationships, and he's only good at it when he shows relationships going to shit (The Godfather movies)

reply

you're probably more right than i am.

reply

I'm not saying that your observation is wrong either, I just have a strong dislike for FFC's failure at showing good relationships when he has had numerous chances with dozens of A-list actors and big Hollywood budgets to work with.

reply

Really? The romance was mostly between Mina and Dracula. I thought towards the end the movie started becoming an acid trip which also happened in Apocalypse Now, that was the worst part to me, oh and the line "I know where the bastard sleeps, I brought him there to Carfax Abby"

reply

Your friend, A-Deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

It always makes me laugh to exaggerate that when I say it.

reply

it is fun to say

reply

Apparently they considered just calling the movie ā€œDā€, yeah that would have been stupid

reply

I think it goes along perfectly fine with the horrible narration of Reeves, I mean what the hell?
R love the guy, especially these days where he's found "his spot" in acting, but oh God how did he find work in the 90's!?

reply

i guess it's all pretty ridiculous in the context

reply

Teenage girls thought he was cute, studio executives wanted him in movies to get that demographic buying tickets to otherwise impenetrable, mixed-bag horror movies.

reply

You'd pick "D" over "Byhudapest" from Keanu?

reply

now i have to watch it again for that one
