Out of all the PREDATOR movies, PREDATOR II really is the Most Violent of the movies and it's interesting how Arnold was supposed to do a 10 second cameo in this at the end with him telling Danny Glover "Come with me if you want to live" line and then the movies ends, however, the studio couldn't meet Arnold 1/2 way on the price tag to do this at a mere $250K for it, so they just stuck with what they had..
shareIt was certainly action packed and violent and though Glover was very good he's no Arnold. Maybe that's the direction they wanted to take, a more ordinary man taking on a killer supreme.
I never heard that bit about a cameo at the end, that's interesting. If true, and I'm not calling you a liar, it seems a bit silly of Schwarzenegger not to have taken a quarter of a mil for one day of work.

This is one of those movies I want to like but just don't. It has some great stuff in it, I like the violence of course but unfortunately I find the move too boring for some reason.

shareI like this one a lot, not as much as the first one, but it's still a good sequel. Danny Glover and the rest of the cast are great in it.
You might want to check out Dark Angel/I come in Peace (1990) with Dolph Lundgren. It's also about an alien killer loose in a big city.

shareSplit Second (1992) is fucking awesome. In my mind all three films are connected, I think because they all came out at around the same time, 90-92, and all take place in an urban environment with some kind of "alien" type killer.
The one scene I never forgot is how theres pitch black in the subway car and Rutger Hauer turns around and then eerily and quietly the large alien arm slowly reaches out of that pitch blackness to grab Hauer!
shareBUMP.. I'm watching this again.. This really is criminally underrated and feel the only movies in this franchise that matter are PREDATOR, PREDATOR II & PREDATORS.. The PREDATOR with Olivia Munn and Boyd Holbrook is just Godawful with a couple of gruesome kills, but the idea that the story centers around a child with Autism is laughable..

Predator 2 was ok. A big disappointment when it came out. Today it’s decent but not a movie I desire to watch again.
Glover was not right for the part. Paxton was hilarious as always. You can never go wrong with a Busey.
That scene with Paxton on that subway train firing round after round at the PREDATOR and running out of ammo and all he had left was a golf ball to use against him and the PREDATOR says to him "You want some candy?" and guts him like a deer.. LOL

shareBUMP: This is one of my Thanksgiving Day movies on Blu Ray I'm watching.. Gary Busey and Bill Paxton are awesome in this.. After this is over, maybe I'll watch PREDATORS with Adrian Brody.. I loved the concept of that movie with that planet used as a hunting ground for the PREDATORS
