Terrible book and worse movie.

Just horrible.

reply

I disagree. This was one of my favorite King books to date. The movie's first half is very true to the book and well done. The second half of the movie, not so much. Lol

Like the ending in the book didn't piss you off?

reply

It's Stephen King's best book. The movie wasn't great and has also aged badly, though.

Due to the lack of moderators, trolls can ruin the IMDB message boards. Don't feed them.

So you dragged yourself through a gigantic book that was a horrible experience for you but that wasn't enough; You then tortured yourself further by watching the several part movie...!!!???
Laughing out loud with a puzzled look over here.

It is a puzzle why anyone would do that. I often ask myself when people are talking about something being the worst TV show ever. Well it wasn't a movie why come back week after week to watch it. if IT was so horrible, put the book down. And if you do not like the MINI SERIES why come back for part 2? I say they must of gotten turned down for a role as a extra in the movie.

If Stephen King had an editor back in the 80's he was woefully inept at his job.

reply

“If”? ALL manuscripts on their way to publication have editors, for both copy and content.

Sheesh.

Also, from The Chicago Manual of Style, Kate Turabian (my mentor): apostrophes do not belong in decade references. There are no ‘80s or 80s. There is only the 80s.

A real editor would know that.

I enjoy being a prick.

Your mentor can suck my knob from the back while your mom gives me corn rows on my crack 😎

reply

So you are indeed ignorant and defensive. You will do well in custodial work.

reply

You had 8 months to come up with something clever and you chose that 😂

You're a loser dude.

reply

I haven’t been here in 8 months. Don’t flatter yourself.

reply

After reading his response I was hoping you'd have something stronger than that after seven days. Plus your posting history suggests that you have been here all eight months crafting that whopper. I think the only thing you accomplished was trashing custodians.

I really like the book at lot, but obviously tastes in books differs from person to person so if its not your thing its not your thing. How far did you get with it though, I'd be interested to know.

There hasn't been a movie yet. There is a TV mini series which was way too short to fully encompass the book so shouldn't really be compared. Its worth noting that you cannot really watch a TV series and judge it as if it were a movie....

She'll come back as fire to burn all the liars, leaving a blanket of ash on the ground

I think this is the book that turned me off from King. I read and kept thinking it would get better but it never rose above the level of crap.

reply

IT is a great book. IT is not crap. I don't care if you have a different opinion, your opinion is wrong.

Hurley "...HOW?!"

reply

Opinions cannot be wrong. That is why it is an opinion. You may disagree, but it makes the OP's view no less valid.

So you're an idiot.

I apologize. I will try to use small words in the future.

reply

No. But your opinion holds as much weight as the previous poster. So, none, I suppose.

reply

Opinions can be wrong. It was Henry Bowers' opinion that blacks were inferior. His opinion was wrong.

I intend to live forever.
So far, so good.

reply

Not as bad as the awful Halloween 3.

reply

"Halloween 3: Season of the Witch" was much better than any of its successors. At least it was different and unique, instead of the same old one-dimensional masked killer chasing and slashing horny teens. It was fun and had some genuinely creepy moments.

Originality needs a reboot.

reply

But it has the worst plot imaginable. An evil toy company? It was border-line dumb.

That is not dead which can eternal lie, and with strange aeons even death may die.

reply

There was no borderline in sight, it was deep into dumb territory.
