Been nagging at me how they can work him in. Seems he has as much reason to hate Silver and Kreese as Daniel does. After losing the match they probably dropped him back in whatever hole they found him in. And since the dojo has been running without him, he might even interpret that as he's been cheated of his fair share.
No way you would make the cover of a karate magazine and not be a tournament champion. That’s why Silver choose Barnes, he was a known winner and thus a safe horse to bet on. Now stop being obtuse!
There is a big difference between tournament champion and national champion. Furthermore, martial arts magazines often do features on fighters both famous and infamous. Barnes was the latter. If you notice who wrote the piece on Barnes it is Pat Johnson. Now it is not uncommon for people with a high standing in the Karate community to have a column in a martial arts magazine. Johnson probably travelled to and officiated at many tournaments. It would be no surprise for him to, in his column, mention different martial artists he has come across in those tournaments. Especially somebody as controversial as Barnes, a talented fighter who is also a bit of a dirty fighter. Hence Tournament Terror.
You think you can rely on that British crap? There’s nothing you’ve got that he can’t counter. Your karates a joke. Barnes would destroy you with his superior training and fitness.
Have you ever been the subject of an article in a Karate magazine?
I thought the article was poorly written myself. It lacked an intriguing subject. The guy kept going on about how the end times were coming in September and we all needed to build bunkers.
I assume now that Silver is opening CK dojos all over the valley, he’ll make good on his promise to give Barnes a percentage. Barnes won’t like Silver so much but if he is keeping old habits, he’d be okay taking the money, likely hatching a plan to take CK from Silver in the process.
Says the person who claims to have travelled to London and back from Hawaii in one day to fight someone. A person who also claims they had a trial for someone and imprisoned them afterwards.
Get help you freak!
So a billionaire business man invests in this would be champion who renegotiates the deal for twice what Silver was offering and then fails and you think Silver should employ him?
Go figure.
And it’s pretty obvious why. I’m not even sure what you’re getting at. You’re being weirdly defensive over the potential acts of a fictional character who is known for being a coked-up psycho.
Defensive? No, simply wondering why you think a successful business man would employ someone who failed him. If you are looking at KK3 characters then surely it would be more likely Silver would use his former lackeys Snake and Dennis.
It seemed like they became fast friends, cruising the streets in their red convertible and getting into adventures around the valley. They formed a tight bond in their short time together.
They developed a camaraderie that’s evident throughout the film. They definitely enjoyed each other’s company. Wouldn’t be surprised if they kept in touch into the 90s.
The writers for Cobra Kai are on record saying the 2010 remake and the animated series are not canon, although the scrolls Chozen gives Daniel in Season 3 were easter eggs as they appeared in the animated series.
