the movie is still a great old horror flick but its a bit too gory and violent

Especially when Chop Top beats the heck out of the radio dj with that hammer/mallet then he gets skinned alive and with pieces of flesh missing.

I don't mind a little gore but the movie did go a bit too overboard

MY FAVORITE OF THE TCM FLICKS AND ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITE FILMS IN GENERAL....MY MOTHER DESENSITIZED ME TO VIDEO VIOLENCE IN GRADE SCHOOL.

reply

I think this movie is a lot of fun. Got to love Dennis Hopper. He cracks me up. I have more fun watching this one than the original.

reply

WHEN THE MIX IS RIGHT...HORROR COMEDY IS MY JAM...AND FOR ME THE MIX IS PERFECT IN TCM2...I HAVE DEFINITELY SEEN IT TWICE AS MUCH AS THE ORIGINAL...STRETCH IS THE GREATEST FINAL GIRL EVER.

reply

not really. and Texas Chainsaw 2 isn't a horror "comedy" its still a redneck slasher horror flick where this time they went overboard with the graphic violence and gore especially how graphic they got with the radio dj guy

reply

IT'S HORROR COMEDY MY FRIEND...ONE OF THE FIRST MAJOR EXAMPLES AT THAT.

reply

This was a movie filmed in an era before folks were demanding that our entire society become one giant Safe Space

reply

Interesting.. The pieces of the puzzle slowly come together.. 🤔

reply

This is why you're an idiot, Kowpieski. You have a shitter taste in movies than 4-year-olds.

reply

TH BIGGEST IDIOTS ARE THOSE WHO ATTEMPT TO TURN SUBJECTIVE TASTE INTO A WEAPON....REAL SHORT BUS BOYS RUNNING THAT SCAM.😘

reply

It ain't subjective when you like it. This movie is flat-out shit.

reply

YES...YES IT IS...AND NO..NO IT IS NOT.

reply

You didn't have to comment the same lame comment twice, Kowpieski. This movie is a shit sandwich.

reply

YES...YES IT IS...AND NO..NO IT IS NOT.

reply

I think the gore is perfect considering the subject matter. Leatherface makes masks from other people's face skin. Chop top was just prepping LG for the harvest.

It's over the top, wild, funny, disturbing, and has a Ballin Soundtrack.

reply

the movie is still a great old horror flick but its a bit too gory and violent"

Well the 1st movie wasn't exactly a walk in the park you know?? It was also pretty unsettling.. 🤔

reply

the first Texas Chainsaw movie didn't have someone being skinned with pieces of flesh sliced off in a gory way like in Texas Chainsaw 2.

Like I said and I have seen Texas Chainsaw 2, Chainsaw 2 is really graphic and gorier especially with the radio DJ guy being skinned with the chainsaw

reply

you're like a broken record

reply

well Texas chainsaw 2 is way more gorier and violent than the first movie. Period Do you even understand at all?

reply

"Chop Top beats the heck out of the radio dj with that hammer/mallet then he gets skinned alive and with pieces of flesh missing."

"someone being skinned with pieces of flesh sliced off in a gory way like in Texas Chainsaw 2."

"especially with the radio DJ guy being skinned with the chainsaw"

reply

the movie was and still is gorier and more violent than the first movie.

Do you not understand that, Legnadibrom? get that through your damn head.

reply

first of all, it's DANG head, not DAMN head,
we don't do the whole sinful cursing thing 'round here, mmkay

i believe the DJ guy was killed at the radio station, thus making him dead before being skinned with the chainsaw, therefore negating your idea that "it's gorier than the first,"
dead person mutilation is not gory, they have to be alive for it to be "gorier"

reply

you're a fucking idiot Leg.

the DJ guy died at that tourist cave area place where he cut Stretch's rope tie.

He got his head beat bad by Chop Top's hammer thing at the radio station, he was still alive there.

I've seen the fucking movie a dozen times you asswipe

reply

oh yeah?
well i have this movie on DVD two times over, 1 time on blu-ray, and i am saving up for next week's payday to get the 4k version

reply

A movie called 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre' about a group of cannibals, one of whom is madman who wears people's faces, should be gory.

This probably is the goriest entry in the franchise but it's got a strong comedic slant which lessens the impact a tad. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning (2006) reigns supreme as the most brutal TCM movie.
