If Paul Reubens never came up with Pee Wee Herman...

would he still have been successful?

reply

Gonna say no, at least to the same level. He was OK as a standup, but his Pee Wee character made his fortune.

As a side note, Reubens was originally Amy's brother in Everybody Loves Raymond. He was in one episode and was brilliant (not as Pee Wee either). Too bad they didn't make him a semi regular like they did Chris Elliott.

reply

Don’t think so

What other good films did he make? I know he made a movie called Rocketman. He had a small role in Dunston Checks In. But nothing major

reply

He was in Rocketman with Harland Williams? I may need to rewatch that

reply

I just checked . It was a different actor. My mistake. I thought it was Paul Ruebens in the lead. They kinda resemble

reply

Lol Harland Williams. 7 minute abs!
I wonder if Harland still acts or tours?

reply

He was in the original Buffy movie too.

reply

He was in the 1999 Ben Stiler movie "Mystery Men" as Spleen :)

reply

I liked him in other roles so he may have had a career as a character actor, but nothing spectacular.
