Is it weird to anyone else there's no Biff type from Marty's generation?
George McFly had Biff and Marty McFly Jr had Griff. Considering Biff is Griff's grandfather it's odd to me that we never see Biff's son/Griff's dad.

That makes a lot of sense actually. Also considering most of the movies take place out of 1985, a Biff type during that time period probably wouldn't be seen much anyway.
shareAre you kidding me? You’ve never seen the 1984 Karate Kid?
shareI haven't, but I don't see how that's relevant.
shareIt’s pretty relevant considering that you never knew 80s bullies were a thing. What sheltered basement hole did they pull you out of?
shareBullies of any decade are a thing. What I'm asking though is why is The Karate Kid relevant to a discussion about Back to the Future and why there was no Biff offspring that were bullies to Marty McFly when the Tanens being bullies is a major throughline through the whole trilogy?
What leap are you trying to make? Karate Kid has no sense being in this discussion.
All that being said, the subject matter of The Karate Kid never interested me. Not everyone has seen all the movies you have chief. But I'm still young. I've got nothing but time.
He means that most of the action *in the Back to the Future movies* take place outside of the year 1985, so it makes sense that you wouldn't see much of a Biff-type billy in the year 1985 *in the BTTF movies*.
shareGood point, sivagish.
I always thought it was kind of funny how Biff's family seems to skip a generation twice, though. Those Tannen's habitually let the grandparents deal with their kids from the looks of it.
I could see Marty being the type that defends weaker kids from bullies and thus having a conflict with those bullies while not being bullied himself in the traditional sense, just agitated by them like with Needles.
