shareNot to sound contradictory but a lot of the stuff is adult theme. Not that it isnt funny or really that offensive but it is very x-rated. For me I didnt care for it or understood its popularity when I was a boy. It wasnt till much later that I accidentally watched it and loved it. I mean I wouldve never gotten 90% of the jokes anyway as a kid.

But I wouldn't put a six-year-old in front of "Golden Girls" anyway.
Of course, it is true that most of the jokes would go over a child's head.
But that is even more reason to find a kids show instead.
Because a kid will hardly find it funny anyway.
I dont know if you noticed but Ive heard a lot of jokes that are too x-rated where im like that belongs in a porno or late nate hbo. I couldnt believe this was a sitcom. You wouldnt think a show about old ladies would say such salacious things. Though it is extremely funny and true it doesnt belong in day time. Especially in that era where society was much more conscious of censoring children. Even for me, I think you have a very mature adult to understand it and find it funny. They make fun sexual situations constantly and talk about explicit stuff like the linguini and breasts and sex.

But it was still kept relatively clean, so I would put it at PG-13 at most.
Okay but 13 is still somewhat acceptable but even at 13 many of things were impossible to get. Especially back then when it was stricter and also some of their jokes are Italian culturally had I not been fortunate enough to study it I would’ve never gotten it.
