Did anybody actually see this in a theater?

If so what did you think when you walked out? How many people were in the theater?

reply

I saw it in the theatre recently on a rerelease, don't think that's what you meant though. Me and my brother loved it, it's one of our favourite movies since we were like 6 or 7. There was only two other people in the theatre though. Temple is my favourite Indy movie.

That´s still cool. I would love to see Temple on the big screen. Also my fave Indy movie.

Yeah it was great. Gotta love rereleases, seeing your favourite iconic movies on the big screen is the bees knees.

I did - I was 11. I remember it being pretty darn gory for my age, and not nearly as fun as Raiders. I do remember loving Short Round, the dinner scene, and thought the rail car scene would have made a fun roller coaster ride.

I recall liking it but not loving it. It held up better as I got a little older in repeat viewings.

Saw it twice. Once at a sneak preview and another time because some friends wanted to see it. Even as a little kid, I thought it went way past PG territory.

I did, but not until 2003. There was a local one-screen theater where I lived at the time that did a midnight movie showing every Saturday night. Then when you'd leave the theater at 2am or so, in the lobby you'd get to nominate or vote for the next week's midnight movie. It was awesome. More theaters should do this. Gives people a chance to see old movies on the big screen.

I was 13 and was thoroughly entertained throughout and oftentimes literally on the edge of my seat in suspense. My father had to tell me not to squirm so much. I never reacted this powerfully to Raiders three years before. It does not surprise me the great Pauline Kael favored TOD far above both Raiders and Last Crusade.
