Did anybody actually see this live on TV?

I was very young when this came out. It aired on Friday nights, and I use to watch it with my mom. We watched all the way until the final episode. As a 9-year-old I thought that it was great. My mom enjoyed it too. Although, I am sure that she was a bit more aware of how cheesy it was.

I have the box set (I bought it way back in 2008). I am currently rewatching it for the third time (the first being the initial airing in 1984, the second being in 2008). It's fun for what it is. I actually enjoy it now because it's a window back in time.

As a kid I always wished that it would have aired for a few more seasons, but recently I found out what the writers were planning to happen in season two, and as a result, I'm glad that it ended when it did.

The original mini series and the sequel mini series were popular. I don’t know about the regular TV series that came after.

I was a teenager at the time, very hyped up show, but besides the "reveal" the show really didn't live up to it and was quickly forgotten by most of my generation.

We nerds were spoiled by the high bar of Star Trek and Star Wars.

I watched it. I was a big fan.
