Don't get me wrong, it's a decent film.

It's just not anywhere near as good as they hype.

Agreed. Insufferably boring, turned it off an hour into it. Gave it a 1/10.

You missed some good stuff
Theres still 'time'

look it took me awhile to get into it but i was able to watch it straight through thanks to Blade Runner 2049 also it sequel helps as well great Duology

Visually it's one of the greatest films I've ever seen - design, visual pacing, camerawork, small visual touches.

Plot? Not so much.

I wish I was able to see it through the eyes of those that think it is a great movie, because I just can't see it. Certainly wasn't the worst movie ever. Maybe someone can recommend a review that explains it in simple words for people like me.

You have to look at it from the time it came out.

There was no movie that had these themes and the ending twist.

yeah 2049 is better I think the forthcoming Dune film will do the do the same to 84 film

'Blade Runner' overrated? Certainly not. And BTW, my candidate for that honor goes to 'The Godfather'.
