Roger Moore - Finally, a serious Bond film

I grow tired of his comical films from the 70s then found this one which was quite refreshing.. practically a reboot of the Connery series that preceded his career.

Nah, the comical parts of the 70s films made them superior. If you want zero smiles and a dour, crusty old snotty M, then stick with Daniel Craig and Judi Dench.
I'll take Moore any day !

I always found Moonraker to be a more realistic Bond film over this

What exactly was so funny?

Never change, Millsey.

Yes, it was good to get back to the more grounded aspects of the Connery era - e.g. evil megalomaniacs with secret, inside a volcano, hidden bases and the same evil megalomaniac running about in drag - in this one.

I particularly enjoyed the serious car chase with the car repeatedly rolling over down the side of a hill, then heading off in Benny Hill style speeded up motion.

Great to get back to what Fleming originally intended in his book series...

This is my favorite Roger Moore Bond film.

That ski-chase (replete with Bill Conti soundtrack is fucking awesome)

I have this on Blu Ray and I totally dig the soundtrack and the opening of the movie which are always imaginative & creative.. I also have "The SPY WHO LOVED ME" on Blu Ray as well.. JAWS in this movie along with the super awesome "MOONRAKER" are also the Best!!

Yeah, this one is really underrated. I liked that they didn't go too hard with the comedy this time.
