Was it me or does her looks change a lot between Superman 1 and 2

I wouldn't ever have called her beautiful but in the first film she is somewhat attractive in scenes but in the sequel only 2 years later it looks as if she has aged 15 years.

I know she had troubles in real life and i wonder what took place during the re shoot because she looks a little bit like she's been on Meth.

It's noticable as well in the diner scene because i think that was shot by Donner so would have been two years before and she looks quite attractive in that scene

Yeah i know that but i presumed that once one had rapped and premiered and Donner fired, that when Lester shot his scenes it would have been a seperate shoot afterwards

The Niagra Falls scenes and i think when she goes back to his lair and the kiss at the end she looked different, thinner maybe? not sure but back in the Diner when Reeve gets beat up she looks like she did in one again, and better in my opinion.

I never noticed her looking different, but then, Lois's looks weren't the most important thing about her. Sure, she was a good-looking woman, but it was clear that Supes was drawn to her because of her courage and wit and liveliness!

Sure, she was the hottest babe at the Daily Planet, but what's that worth?

I'm pretty sure there were at least two dozen more attractive women working at the newspaper (even if we don't see 'em). But, like you say, Lois had some attractive intangibles, like her spirit and voice.

If there were two dozen more attractive women working at the newspaper, I doubt they were working in the newsroom with Clark and Lois. I don't think women who want to use their looks to get ahead think a newspaper newsroom is a great place to work their magic, you know?

It's a good point, but I didn't say anything about women using their looks to get ahead. I'm basically saying that Margot Kidder as Lois isn't that good-looking (physically speaking) and that there are likely a couple of dozen better-looking women at the newspaper (even if we don't see them on screen).

At the same time, Christopher Reeve as Clark and Margot's Lois really looked like they fit together.

They are one of my favorite all-time screen couples, they're magic together! (Well, at least for the first two films.) But yeah, he was distinctly the better-looking of the two but that didn't matter, you could see how he'd pass up a dozen models for Lois, because they'd seem so dull by comparison.

Before she lost her looks Margot Kidder was very attractive, at least to me.

And that smokey voice....that earns a few extra points. A smokey, raspy voice can make a 6 seem more like a 7+.
