Why did Sarah Douglas + Jack O'Halloran hate working w/ Chris Reeve?

Another caped actor, Chris Reeve.....even though he could act like a pompous douche according to Douglas/O'Halloran he still didn't deserve his horrible fate.

"I never really knew him that well. I socialised with everybody else but not him. But at the beginning he was a very fresh-faced young American and at the end it was difficult. He definitely got caught up with his own Superman image."

How was Christopher Reeve unlikeable during the peak of his Hollywood career?

Get a life.

On many of the behind-the-scenes footage of 'Superman II' (especially all the reshot footage) all I saw was Reeve giving constructive advice and bandying about ideas with director Lester. Nothing malicious, just Reeve trying to be helpful (and, at this stage, protecting his brand/career)
Given the drastic re-shoots, and the cast and crews torn allegiances between Donner/Lester....I can see how Reeves' constructive criticisms could be perceived as meddling?

I’d like to remind people of something, especially people who are too young to have lived in, or remembered, the age of a disabled Christopher Reeve. He was a CHAMPION for disabled people. He did not just break his neck and then retire. He was a vocal, active advocate for disabled people, who constitute 26 percent of the US population. He gave a passionate, standing-ovation speech at the Democratic National Convention that was almost Jesse-Jackson good, saying he was proud to be an example to others. It was at the end of his life that he truly was Superman.

I don't know about O'Halloran but I did see an interview with Douglas from around that time promoting a tv series she was on and she did not come off very well at all, to put it nicely.
