Laurie seeing figure in her garden

Why isn't Laurie more freaked out about a stranger standing in her garden by the washing line in a mask staring up at her? She gets a bit spooked out by it but that soon passes after the phone call from her friend. If it was me or probably anyone else, I'd be freaked out for the rest of the day and would be all I'd ever think and talk about. It makes it harder to believe that she's so skeptical whenever the kid she's looking after tells her there's someone outside.

reply

Probably because it's halloween and a 70's mindset.

reply

Well in fairness they do show her talking about it with Annie in the car, but it's not mentioned after that because of everything else going down

reply

I must have missed the conversation they had. Even so, that sort of thing would make me quite tentative for the rest of the day, even if it is Halloween. It's not like she's reacting to it like it's a friend playing a prank.

reply

Honestly that image and that scene of him standing by the clothesline is probably one of the creepiest and well done shots.

reply

It really is.

I also like the shot of him watching Laurie, Annie, and Linda walking home, and then disappearing behind the evergreen wall.

If that happened to me on Halloween, I would first piss myself, and second, find a bus station.

reply

Yeah, it was weird for her to see someone standing there and she did get spooked, but she probably realized that it's Halloween and somebody was pranking her. After all, he wasn't standing there when she looked again so she probably thought the prankster left and went to another backyard.

How did Michael magically disappear?

reply

He didn't

reply

I seen this millions of times. He disappears in the garden..

reply

Editing.
