Did anyone else get bored with the underwater bits?

I know it's hard to have a good natter while you're a hundred feet below sea level, but it seemed to go on a bit whenever Bond or anyone went underwater.

It was like all underwater scenes (possibly apart from the end battle) were there just to pad it out and show off the great underwater camera angles they'd used.

They were brilliantly shot and looked beautiful, but they were definitely overdone and did get boring after a while.

No. Not at all. I couldn’t get enough of the submarine action. Maybe that’s because I was an experienced SCUBA diver in 65.

movie critics as well mentions the underwater scenes as dragging out and i think i read even the moviemakers themselves admitting it was a bit much, that's one of the reasons i prefer the 1983 never say never again over this, it's not just the underwater scenes, this has "the most boring..." of everything which you can see buzzed about on the board of different ingredients in this movie, i own all james bond movies soundtracks on cd, and even there this is the most boring which i most seldom put on, i was obsessed with james bond when i was a young boy, still even then this was the one i just couldn't get hooked on of the connery & moore movies (lazenby, dalton), remarkably even at that age couldn't get into brosnan's movies, blofeld is always played by the coolest actors like donald pleasance, telly savalas and charles gray, i also like max von sydow but he didn't come off as wicked and evil enough to fit the part, but this, i even forgot the role of blofeld was in, i can't even remember the bond girls in this, or the other parts unless they're re occurring actors in the part like m, q or miss moneypenny. this bond flick just is very forgettable except for standing out as the definitive most boring one between 1962-1989 (for me personally the bond franchise ends in the 1980's with the departure of connery, moore and the original moviemakers.)

No. I grew up watching "Sea Hunt", so I like the underwater bits.

And.. that's why I gave it one star less. Extremely boring scenes.
