claims men dont have to deal with body shaming, after body shaming men

Billie Eilish has received backlash for suggesting men don't get criticized for their appearances. "Nobody ever says a thing about men's bodies," Eilish told Variety. "If you're muscular, cool. If you're not, cool. If you're rail thin, cool. If you have a dad bod, cool. If you're pudgy, love it! Everybody's happy with it. You know why? Because girls are nice. They don't give a fuck because we see people for who they are!"

"Why is every pretty girl with a horrible-looking man, I don't understand," she said during the interview. "Listen, I'm not shaming people for their looks, but I am though. You give an ugly guy a chance, he thinks he rules the world," she said. "I swear to god, because they got a hot girl, they can be horrible? Like, you're still ugly though." She went on to reference the size of men's genitals, suggesting it's something they would have to "make up for."

One of the great things about free speech is that it often gives the people that can still enjoy it enough rope to hang themselves with.

If you go to Target or Wal-Mart, or wherever, I've noticed that the female clothing and makeup models have become...less than conventional, let's say, whereas most of the male models are mostly still buff. Perhaps it's gay men behind the marketing, but I've seen a lot more acceptance of women than men (especially if they are under 6' tall).

reply

LMAO...THAT'S BULLSHIT.

reply

Evidence please.

reply

EVIDENCE THAT TARGET MODELS ARE TALL AND BUFF IF MALE AND SHORT AND "UNCONVENTIONAL" IF FEMALE?...LMAO.

reply

Sure, I shouldn't believe my lying eyes.

There has definitely been a trend to display models who are less attractive, overweight, have crappy haircuts (outright buzz cuts in some case), skin conditions such as vitiligo, etc. Sure, they are more diverse, but you don't see any of that with the male models, at least not to the same extent.

reply

YOU CLEARLY KNOW MUCH MORE ABOUT MALE MODELS THAN I DO.🙂

reply

I've been to stores so I must be gay.

reply

IF YOU SAY SO.🫤

reply

Personally I find it motivating, and I don't know how they expect to sell clothes if guy modeling then looks worse in them than I do.

reply

Gay men and lesbians run the fashion industry.

reply

Gay men definitely run it. There are many straight females though. Not many lesbians. I worked in textiles.
