She has such a positive attitude and it makes me feel guilty complaining about things that are so trivial.

If you are going to pay tribute to someone, thats a stupid way to do it.
So you should feel like shit...but not for the reasons you think.
What's stupid about it? She's an advocate and she makes me realize that I can have my struggles and stay positive.

shareWell it certainly piqued my curiosity enough to hear what the OP had to say, get me to research Velasquez, and learn of her courage and fortitude, in a world filled with "victims", "offended" people (and people telling others how they should feel...).
So maybe not the most elegant way, I'll give you that, but it worked.

shareDefintely. It's like when people talk about racism. They always say that making people feel uncomfortable is the best way to have the discussion. In this case, I was the one making myself feel uncomfortable.
