Yeah, neither she nor the girl from "Roma" had a hope, as it was the first major role for both. That is just how the AMPAS rolls, and if either of them got their hopes up then they were being silly. They really should be grateful to be nominated, and do their damndest to work the early recognition into long and productive acting careers.

Gaga's acting was pretty good...not very good..if anything the chemistry between Bradley and Gaga was was so good it made you think Gaga was better than she was in the film...I imagine they probably fucked any chance they could get alone during filming.
