Did she get a law degree or just pass the bar exam? Getting a law degree is commendable, not sure how much it changes my opinion of her. I don't have anything against her but I just don't get the hoopla surrounding the K girls. Although, I did watch a few of their spin off shows and they were quite amusing.

She had the name "Kardashian" which helped her build a business. Although, I do think they did a pretty good job at building a brand by themselves without much help. I think Robert K passed away before they became well known.
And yeah, the sex tape helped. It never ceases to amaze me how some girls can get away with that while others can't. Not only did Kim get away with it but it probably launched her career. I don't quite get the fascination with her though. But as it stands, she is probably the most well known reality TV star of all time. But you could make a strong case that Kylie Jenner has passed her up and she never did a sex tape, how about that....
I think people like Kylie because she's stunningly beautiful. Although, the guys she's chosen as mates are fugly looking. Yuck!!

Having good fortune doesn't make one a bad person but sounding like a bitter envious jerk does make one a bad person, which is how the writer sounds in that article.
Either way, I kind of view today's celebrity worship as just a side effect of social media/reality TV. People are just interested in...well..... people.
The details of how a private trust set up is hardly something the press can easily get hold of. At best they know the existence of such trust and the rough size of it
But trust funds of that kind are usually accessible to the offspring at around age of 25. I think we are looking at around 15 million each.
Of course that does not make her a bad person, she at least did something with her life, just the self claimed "self made" part is kind of bogus. And her advice to 99% of people on how to succeed is probably not as relevant as she claimed.
Then again she might have been talking to the trust fund kids. For most people relative poverty and starvation are enough to get them off their arses.
For 99% of people, not getting off their arses is not an option.
