I think she's great. I don't know why everyone rags on her all the time.
Over the years, I've heard many rumors that she's difficult to work with, and none too stable in her personal life, remarkably consistent rumors. Which doesn't seem to have affected her work, onscreen she's always a delight to watch, but if there's any truth to the rumors, that may be why her career has slowed down.
FYI the same rumor mill has never produced an unkind word about Nyongo.
There is a great picture of Lupita on the poster of 'Little Monsters.' Dancing with an ukulele in her hand. She learned to play the instrument especially for the film. That has to be one of my favourite film posters of the year so far.
