If you complain about her casting you expose yourself as a racist

All the crying by mostly white middle aged men about her casting shows how toxic and racist the so called "anti-woke" crowd is.

I didn't even know this play was happening until all the racist reactions shone a light on it.

I'm also fairly confident most of those whining weren't aware of it until they caught wind of the latest topic to complain about from their like minded toxic internet friends who search far and wide for things to get angry at.

I'm not gonna watch this play, those whining won't be watching it. They can cast fucking Lizzo as Romeo for all I care. Makes no difference to me. Makes no difference to those whining. They're just using this as another outlet for their racism and sexism (see comments on how unnattractive they find the actress) and as a propoganda piece to push their narrative that white heterosexuals are an endangered species.

A black person got cast in a play I didn't know was happening and have no intention on watching, this is outrageous!

I don't think you understand the gravity of the situation.

An actor they have never heard of before and consequently know absolutely nothing about has been cast as one of the leads in a play they would rather stick forks in their eyes than actually sit through, being staged in a country that's over 4,000 miles away from where most of them live.

It's obviously something a perfectly normal, non-racist human being would get whipped up in a frenzy about.

The distance between their homes and the theatre is irrelevant. The complaint is about a black actress playing a white, Italian character. This casting doesn't appeal to me, so I wouldn't go to see the play. Others won't care one way or another, and still others will be excited about it simply because of her race. It all really just doesn't matter.

Oh, the fact that the majority of the complaints and objections are emanating from the USA is very, very relevant indeed. It's just Americans Americaning.

You might want to look up the definition of racism. Being critical of someone does not amount to "racism"

reply

That is absolutely true; however, expecting many of the people who post here to comprehend that fact is extremely optimistic. Reasoning with them is about as effective as administering medicine to the dead.

reply

Yes and that's exactly why I never got a response.

reply

Literally the only criticism on here is "she uggo".

Okay.

So?

reply

That's the entire built-in 'cop-out' excuse they envisioned when casting her.
They try to legitimize their perverted agenda by always hurling (the same old) buzzwords against any discussion/disagreement.

This woman is ugly. I'd 'complain' just as much as much if they cast a ugly white chick (I know that...you know that) But the 'left' do this (solely) to give themselves (and you) a percieved 'bad-guy' to spout your tired, lazy isms at (primarily because you enjoy lying to yourself) but also because you have no real injustices to actually be bothered about?

reply

Never understood all the racism against negro actors who are trying to make a living. Let it go

I wrote in another thread I question why this actress would take the role of Juliet knowing the creators of this movie only want to hire her because she's Black. That's racist. Also this version of Romeo and Juliet is promoting social conditioning of a mixed raced couple. Black & White is good while a White couple on screen is seen as bad. That's racist and promoting White Genocide.

You are an idiot. This is a london play. Race-swapping has happened many times.

Were you equally outraged at these?

reply

I think my issue is this:

It's Romeo and Juliette.
Most people only see it because it's being put on for a high school or community performance and they know someone in the production.

The articles online are just as stupid and vapid as the comments here. People defending and attacking are doing so because they're bored. It doesn't matter because we will all be seeing someone fight about something else stupid next week.

Weren't you the guy with the sarcastic criticism of the proliferation of interracial couples in Hollywood movies?

Are you just trolling by saying the exact opposite here? Otherwise, this post sounds like you’re boot licking the people who called you the racist there
