I Heard she's a really good actress pretty much since The Devil Wears Prada and she's received a SAG nomination the latest award season. I've only seen her in Sicario though, and thought she seriously kicked butt. It's a shame she won't be in Soldado

I agree, but is she the sort of person who has her publicist mount an aggressive Oscar campaign during awards season? That's how you win nowadays!

She seems content playing the "wifey" type or the love lorn desire of some generic leading man type (Cruise, Damon, etc.)

She needs to play edgier roles like the kind Jessica Chastain isn't afraid to pursue. Perhaps her hubby doesn't want that?
