Never heard of her

Until that bizarre speech in which she credited baby killing for her Golden Globes.

Truly bizarre speech.

reply

The depths that you guys frequent to disparage people is abhorrent.

reply

Thank you. She is proud of killing a baby. F her.

reply

Proud of killing a baby? Do you mean a fetus?

reply

Yes, the fetus (the woman's child and a helpless human being).

reply

A fetus isn't a child.

reply

It is according to the dictionary, biology, reality, and common sense.
Def child: an unborn infant; a fetus

reply

A fetus is not a human being.

reply

The fusion of a sperm (with 23 chromosomes) and the oocyte (with 23 chromosomes) results in a live human being with 46 chromosomes and its own unique DNA. It doesn't grow into something else, it simply grows and matures through different stages throughout its life. You can try to dehumanize it so you don't feel guilty using violence to destroy it, but truth will ultimately prevail.

reply

If a fetus were a human being abortion would be murder. It is not, so a fetus is not a human being.

reply

There are fetal homicide laws in most states. That means the murder of a human in the womb. But when a mother wants to kill her own child, suddenly it's not human?

reply

Laws are laws. And a fetus isn't a child.

reply

According to the most popular dictionaries, including medical dictionaries, a definition of child is "unborn person; fetus".

reply

We are talking about laws here. Last I heard Webster's doesn't make laws in this country. A fetus is not a child as far as the law goes. Nor is it a child to most thinking people.

reply

Anyone who has a habit of ignoring facts, conflating issues, moving goalposts, and looking to lawmakers for their moral compass and knowledge of biology, usually doesn't have a winning argument. Most "thinking people" understand to be "with child" means there's a baby growing in the mother's womb. If the people you surround yourself with don't know that, it could explain some of the problems you're having with this issue.

reply

We also had laws on the books that said it's okay to beat your wife, and that it's just dandy to keep a few nogs around the homestead as slaves.

Our Goobermint just loves dumbasses like you that mindlessly worship corrupt/criminal authority figures, patriotic drones that parrot slogans and wuv their mother.

The law has nothing to do with right & wrong or justice, it's an industry, a fucking business run by crooks, a monopoly of the state administered at the barrel of a gun, and the highest bidder gets to say what laws are written, how they're enforced, and on who.

So, play whatever semantic games you want with yourself - abortion ends a life, simple as that, and dead baby's tissue gets harvested for big dollars - it's big bizziness.

If you worship god, it's apparently one that approves of child sacrifice, that good ole time religion.

reply

I'm a dumbass because I don't agree with you?

reply

You're a dumbass because you parrot the mantras put into your skull by the culture as a substitute for critical thinking. You're willing to internalize the lie and sooth your conscience with slogans and logical fallacies. Don't take the label personally, you're the perfect citizen, and you certainly aren't alone.

reply

Thanks.

reply

You're welcome, dude, and I wish you the best - just don't let 'em do your thinking for you, god put you here for a reason and gave you a good mind, don't ever rent it out to anyone.

Pound sand you simpleton.

reply

Whether you are pro-choice or not, being proud of killing a fetus is evil and wrong.

reply

And she said she's proud of it? I'm pro-choice but abortion is a serious decision not to be taken lightly.

Edit-where did she say she was "proud" of having an abortion?

reply

"And I wouldn't have been able to do this, without employing a women's right to choose..."
It may not be blatant pride but she's definitely crediting where she is now because of her right to have an abortion. That's a disgusting and selfish perspective imo.

reply

She was proud of living in a place where women have the choice.

reply

[deleted]

I am absolutely pro-choice, but that acceptance speech was indeed bizarre, on multiple levels.

reply

Same. Seemed forced for attention; as do many of the SJW tirades.

reply

She credited being able to have an abortion with making it possible to focus on her career. I'm not seeing where she says she's proud of having an abortion.

reply

She has been in quite a few successful films over the years and was nominated for 4 Oscars. If you watch movies, you should have heard of her before.

reply

I call bullshit.

You're doing a Mariah Carey when she was asked about Jennifer Lopez... "I don't know who she is"

You know her. Her speech pissed you off. It isn't that hard to say straight up.

reply

Nailed it.

reply

Exactly. Not engaging in the ever lame faux-naif tactic was one of the things that the right has been doing well, in comparison to the left, which often uses that as their main strategy. I admire those that call a spade what it is. Copying tactics from the other side is not a good look. Copying the most pathetic tactic is just plain sad.
