T-rump is scared Mueller will testify in front of House Judiciary Committee

With a tentative date of May 15 scheduled for special investigator Robert Mueller to testify in front of the House Judiciary Committee, T-rump has had a change of mind about his testifying.

On Sunday, T-rump said he doesn't want Mueller to testify - even though he said he was 'fine with it' for the past few weeks. Why wouldn't a President who was found completely 'exonerated' in the Mueller report (as he claims) after a two year investigation have this change of heart? What exactly is T-rump afraid of which will come out of the testimony if he is completely exonerated from all charges of collusion and obstruction of justice (his claim, not mine) ?

T-rump has long said he would not object to Mueller testifying, and would never stand in the way. He said he would leave the decision up to Bill Barr, current AG. Barr echoed T-rump's decision - no standing in the way, and he would welcome his testimony.

The Dems have been in negotiations with Mueller to sit for the committee, and the date of May 15 has been floating around this weekend - though it's not a definitive date.

So why is T-rump now worried and having this change of heart?

Could it be that Mueller said in the report he was not investigating collusion (which has no legal definition, but instead he examined allegations of coordinating and conspiracy with the Russian government to interfere in the 2016 presidential election), so there's no truth to what T-rump has said about that ?

Another GUEST on MSNBC says the CIA has actually seen the PEE TAPES that we've heard so much about.

Perhaps THE SCAM MAN is afraid that MUELLER will also MENTION how they have COPIES of them, the same way as the other guy did when he testified and told CONGRESS about the WATERGATE TAPES???

Still another possibility is they might also have seen copies of his INCOME TAXES, or they might also KNOW WHO threatened the LIFE of the PORN STAR he had SEX with when she had her baby sitting in the back of her car???

There's so just so many different possibilities that it could be that there's no way to know for sure which one of them it could be that has the SCAM MAN so SPOOKED.

reply

I think Mueller is just going to stick to his report when he testifies. I doubt he will add anything. He is not the type.

reply

I disagree; I think there's a possibility that Mueller might have plenty of new stuff to reveal. There's a massive amount of information in the evidence section of the report that wasn't included in the neutered version that Barr released. If any of this material wasn't redacted then Mueller will be only too happy to discuss it. Congress will just need to ask the right questions, that's all.

reply

Ok. We can't count on Congress to ask the right questions. Just look at that Barr crap from last week! So many good questions went unasked. Only a select few had some hard liners.

reply

No, a lot of good questions were asked--Barr just refused to answer to them. For instance, Harris pinned him down for a reply of whether he discussed or made available the report to anyone in the White House before it was released publicly. He hemmed and hawed about it and looked like a total fool trying to decide what the word "suggest" meant. But he really didn't need to answer that...his refusal to provide a simple yes or no answer spoke louder than words.

reply

A classic moment in Senate history. He didn't realize that by her owning him in that minute, he helped her Presidential campaign enormously. He saved her millions of dollars in 'ad time' when every news outlet kept playing that key moment over and over and over again - and still do, a week later. You can't buy that kind of publicity. If he said a quick 'yes' or 'no' it would not have been as effective.

Priceless - thanks Barr, and congrats to Harris ! Smart move.

reply

The realist in me almost thinks that moment was TOO good for Harris, in the sense that it showed how valuable someone like her with her prosecutorial skills can be in the Senate for the Dems, and maybe that is her ideal role instead of as President.

reply

It also underscored how much we miss Al Franken's preternatural ability to ask the right questions in Senate hearings. Harris has been the most effective in taking up that mantle except last session she always had to deal with getting cut off and drowned out by John McCain who couldn't stand her.

I liked the looks from Corey Booker sitting next to her. He had been utterly ineffectual in his questioning preceding her. She's 10 times better at it than he is and I think his rueful looks made it apparent he was aware she was blowing him away in asking the right questions.

reply

Do you think Franken might possibly run for office again at some point? Personally I think the reaction and condemnation he received based on what he admitted to was a bit stringent, and compared to most of the other perverts and lechers that have been in the news since then, I think his "time out" and apology should suffice for him to reappear.

reply

He got royally shafted. He just caught the #metoo wave at the exact wrong time when there was this blind mob mentality. Gillebrand will never be able to live her role in leading that insane rush to judgement down. They never gave him even a courtesy Senate investigation that he was owed. That played straight into the hands of a successful right wing hit job where half the accusers were anonymous and the other half were admitted trump partisans.

Unless that right wing op is ever fully uncovered and exposed (remember Roger Stone called it on twitter right before the first accuser, former Hooters pin-up girl Leeann Tweeden leveled her accusation) republicans will continue to smear him for that cloud of fog they created. It'd be hard to make a political comeback for him. He was just way too decent in folding early when he was so clearly being set up. I think he just felt abandoned by most of his colleagues who took the politically expedient route over his word.

reply

Ah, good ol' Rog! I have a feeling there's gonna be a lot of fun stuff revealed about the muck Mr. Stone's been peddling that will see the light of day in the not too distant future...

reply

Just last month I read how he's so broke he had to downscale from his rented 9 bedroom $9500 a month Ft Lauderdale mansion into a one bedroom apartment and was crying because Alex Jones isn't sending him checks anymore.

reply

He was also crying because he could only have ONE yacht now instead of three.

reply

Yeah, it was just a pitiful cash call to the bleeding heart suckers that support him. He signs rocks and sells them online calling them "Roger Stones" and his wackjob supporters buy them.

reply

LMAO! WHAT?! Now, THAT I didn't know. XD

Wow...how do we make good Roger Stone jokes now? The man does a much better job of insulting himself than any of us EVER could. LOL!

Roger Stones...

reply

Yup. I noticed he recently even cut the price on his website from $15.90 down to $12.72 for a single signed Roger Stone. He must be hurting when his supporters can't afford to float 16 bucks for a single rock but will ante up $12.72.

reply

LOL! I don't even know what to say...

That wasn't lost on me! He was awestruck, and I'm not sure he realized he was in the camera shot. This doesn't look good for his presidency. As I said earlier, you can't buy this kind of publicity - and as great as it looked for Harris, it looked awful for Booker.

I do like Booker - always have - but I'm not seeing 'President' in him yet. I do see it in Harris from time to time, she needs to keep up the momentum.

reply

She's really a great interrogator, but I think her record as prosecutor is going to come back to haunt her with primary voters. She's got a super dodgy history as California AG and SF DA while burnishing her "tough on crime" cred. She's already been called out for lying about her record at the most recent CNN town hall.

reply

There's also something else that happened during that exchange which RACHEL MADDOW discussed on her show.

BARR also told HARRIS she'd need to discuss a matter with MUELLER, the same way as the SCAM MAN previously told reporters they'd need to ASK his ATTY COHEN for the ANSWER to their question.

Then the NEXT DAY the FBI shows up at COHEN'S PLACE and CONFISCATES his stuff.

Only in the case of HARRIS, she took the opportunity (that was presented to her by BARR) to WRITE to MUELLER and ASK HIM for COPIES of the SCAM MAN'S INCOME TAXES.

So IF he writes back and sends her COPIES of them, surely you can also IMAGINE the kind of TWEET STORM and BIG HISSY FIT that would follow. :)

reply

I believe that was Amy Klobuchar, not Harris. Klobuchar did in fact get in touch with Mueller the next day (in an excellent letter Maddow shared on-air) and called Barr's bluff. More or less she asked Mueller to forward all the financials he had on T-rump to her committee, if he had any at all (T-rump and Barr claimed he did, but no one knows for certain).

reply

OPPS … thank you for the CORRECTION DD.

We've got way too many people in the PRIMARY RACE !!!

Things are getting way too CONFUSING with so many of them running for office !!! :)

reply

We're up to 22 I believe - maybe more to come. I'm not disappointed with this - I think it gives Dems a nice round-up of choices; slowly they will weed themselves out as the debates kick off and should their campaigns stall. Biden, Bernie, Mayor Pete and Beto seems to be dominating the spotlight - the others need to catch up.

reply

You think Trump should have an approval rating of 80%! Insanity!

reply

Any President who has gone through what he has gone through in the past two years ("Witch hunt!", "I'm a victim!", etc.) and then tells his followers and Americans he was 'fully exonerated' and 100% not guilty of a thing should be in the 80 % approval rating at this point. His embarrassing approval ratings would have shown America had their doubts about him, but once he declared Mueller wrote of his 'full exoneration' his rating would have skyrocketed.

But no one believes him, no one has sympathy for him (which he desires), so no one approves of his performance or actions as a President. Not a bump up in popularity, no improvement in his ratings. NO ONE BELIEVES HIS SOB STORY. Insanity indeed.

reply

You're embarrassing yourself

reply

Nothing wrong with a supporting role.

reply

Just like the Mueller report itself: he was originally bloviating over over how he would "LOVE" for the report to be made public unredacted but then waged war to try to keep it from surfacing.

Typical Cheeto McTweeto behavior.

reply

"Typical Cheeto McTweeto behavior."

Hah! Hadn't heard the McTweeto part of that before...that will be my new favorite nickname for that corrupt lying fat bastard.

reply

I can't take credit for the McTweeto part, though I wish I could. Someone else around here (I forget who) came up with that one. XD
